Are new covenant saints called to keep the law?

No. If it were, then NONE of us would be here.

Ezekiel 18:20-23
18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall DIE. The son shall not bear the inequity of the father, neither shall the father bear the inequity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
18:21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all My Statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall SURELY live, he shall NOT die.
18:22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he SHALL live.
18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord "I AM": [and] not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Romans 6:22-23
6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting Life.
6:23 For the wages of sin [is] DEATH (Eze. 18:4); but the gift of God [is] eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The ONLY Way to remain free from sin is to repent (stop sinning) by returning to The Law (1 John 3:4). Doing anything less is proving a lack of faith in and love for Father (God) and His Christ (John 14:15, 21-24). And there is no other way to show one's appreciation and gratitude for the sacrifices that Father and Christ have made on our behalf other than to remember and return to keeping God's Law/Commandments (Mal. 4).

You NEED to turn from your wicked, sinful ways, and STOP LYING to others, or you will find yourself in The Fire on Judgment Day.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with Fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
One sin is a violation of the entire law as scripture points out. One sin condemned the human race. It was only God atoning for Adam and Eve's transgression that saved them. What saved them? The mercy of God. The law condemned then.

There was nothing they could have done to save themselves as apart from God's grace they would have died in their sin. It was only God's mercy, because the law had already condemned them once they broke it.

One sin is enough to bring condemnation. The only reason the Israelites were able to remain in fellowship with God was, because they had a system in place to constantly blot out and atone for their innumerable sins. Think of how much bloodshed The Law required. All that blood demonstrates it was always God's mercy that provided them a way to be right with him. God through his mercy made a way for atonement. They would have remained in their sin if there was not bloodshed to cover their iniquities.

If you really study the scriptures you begin to understand that God through his mercy has always used atonement. It's always been through his mercy, because the law demands justice. Apart from God's mercy and intervention Adam and Eve would have died in their sin.

You refuse to accept that one sin is a violation of the entire law, because if you did your entire theology would crumble and you would be forced to acknowledge your guilt and how far you fall short everyday. Then you would also be forced to come to the conclusion that it's purely by God's mercy and grace that one can ever be right with him.

If your day isn't perfect(without sin) then you don't keep The Law. Sin is transgression from The Law. One sin is a violation of the entire law. Do the math. End of story.

For even the circumcised [Jews] themselves do not [really] keep the Law, but they want to have you circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh [that is, in the fact that they convinced you to be circumcised]. Galatians 6:13

Galatians 3:10-11

Amplified Bible

10 For all who depend on the Law [seeking justification and salvation by obedience to the Law and the observance of rituals] are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed (condemned to destruction) is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, so as to practice them.” 11 Now it is clear that no one is justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing] before God by the Law, for “The righteous (the just, the upright) shall live by faith.”

Galatians 5:3

Amplified Bible

3 Once more I solemnly affirm to every man who receives circumcision [as a supposed requirement of salvation], that he is under obligation and required to keep the whole Law.

One sin is a violation of the entire law as scripture points out.
You've already been shown the Scripture which proves you to be in error, but apparently prefer lies to the truth, or feel that if you keep repeating those lies it will somehow make them true; it won't. You don't understand James 2:10, because your religious superstitions have duped you into your deadly "nobody can stop sinning, so why try to quit" attitude.

One sin condemned the human race. It was only God atoning for Adam and Eve's transgression that saved them. What saved them? The mercy of God. The law condemned then.
More lies taught by the spiritually blind guides of "Christianity". The Law is, and always will be, a blessing to those who keep it, exactly as God promises (Deut. 28:1-14).

There was nothing they could have done to save themselves as apart from God's grace they would have died in their sin. It was only God's mercy, because the law had already condemned them once they broke it.
It's sad that anyone believes the LIE that God is an unmerciful and unreasonable tyrant, Who allegedly gave us a Law that allegedly no one can keep, sitting on the edge of His Throne awaiting for us to break it just once, so He could allegedly condemn us all. And this ridiculous notion is then built upon, with God allegedly showing us mercy by dividing Himself into three separate parts that supposedly aren't really separate but only appear to be separate, when God allegedly needs to role-play, i.e. talk to Himself or send Himself somewhere, or prove to us that He can be both God and man, even though God made it crystal clear that He is NOT, and can NEVER be a Man, nor the Son of Man.

The stupidity, in believing these ridiculous superstitions instead of what it actually says in Scripture, is breath-taking.

Christ Himself was on a learning curve, striving for perfection, while He was here in the body of Jesus.

Hebrews 5:5-10
5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made The High Priest; but He that said unto him, Thou art My Son, to day have I incarnated thee (John 1:14).
5:6 As He saith also in another [place], Thou [art] a Priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save him from death (Father, Who IS God - Matt. 10:28), and was heard in that he feared;
5:8 Though he were a Son, YET LEARNED HE OBEDIENCE by the things which he suffered;
5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
5:10 Called by God an High Priest after the order of Melchizedek.

Matthew 19:16-17
19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have Eternal Life?
19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou ME good? [there is] NONE good but One, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into Life, keep the Commandments.

One sin is enough to bring condemnation.
According to whom? Not according to God. If one REPENTS, thereby turning from sin and wickedness back to keeping The Law (obeying God), exactly as Christ teaches, then they will be forgiven of their previous transgressions (sins/crimes - Rom. 3:25), paid for by the blood of the Lamb. How could anyone possibly do God's Will by continuing to rebel against Him?

The only reason the Israelites were able to remain in fellowship with God was, because they had a system in place to constantly blot out and atone for their innumerable sins. Think of how much bloodshed The Law required. All that blood demonstrates it was always God's mercy that provided them a way to be right with him. God through his mercy made a way for atonement. They would have remained in their sin if there was not bloodshed to cover their iniquities.
Substitute animal sacrifice was meant to provide every Israelite the incentive NOT to sin, as it was very costly to them to lose their best breeding stock to pay for their transgressions. Substitute animal sacrifice was also to both foreshadow and teach "self" sacrifice.

Anyone who isn't willing to crucify their own ego DAILY (Luke 9:23; Gal. 2:20) for the good of everyone else, cannot be a follower/disciple of Christ.

If you really study the scriptures you begin to understand that God through his mercy has always used atonement.
Agreed. It's just a shame that so very few today are willing to take personal responsibility for their own actions, even though Christ has warned us we will all be judged by them (whether they are good or evil).

It's always been through his mercy, because the law demands justice.
Of course The Law demands Justice. The Law IS Mercy and Justice, which is why it is so desperately needed in this world that is literally FILLED with injustice and oppression from our own unlawful made-up rules. It is truly a shame that so many are so ignorant of The Law, particularly given their true, eternal lives depend upon them studying it and putting it into practice.

Apart from God's mercy and intervention Adam and Eve would have died in their sin.
Adam and Eve believed the satanic lie that they were "only human after all", instead of spiritual-Beings temporarily clothed in human animal bodies. That is why they suddenly believed they were naked (seeing things through their human eyes, instead of spiritual ones). And sadly, we have all -- except Enoch -- followed their very bad example, to our detriment.

One sin IS a violation of the entire Law, which is why everyone needs to repent, i.e. STOP SINNING/BREAKING THE LAW. But you don't seem to be able to see that God gives everyone a grace period to learn, and come to their senses and realize this, and then to work WITH Him (with His Help and Guidance every step of The Way) to keep The Law IN ITS ENTIRETY.

THAT
is how absolutely amazing and merciful Father (God) REALLY is, so we may LEARN OBEDIENCE just as Christ did.

TRUE Faith is trusting in God, that He is Perfect, Holy, Just and Good, just as His Law, Commandments, and Statutes are Perfect, Holy, Just and Good. Keeping God's Law, and following The Example that Christ has set for us, is what provides each of us with the sure foundation for being able to DO God's Will.

Ecc 12:13 Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind ~ God

The law is done away with, Do as thou wilt, aka lawlessness… satanic in disguise.

Grace vs works and biblical salvation

There are allot of people who convey salvation and grace as if its a license to sin, but more and more I am seeing legalism being taught and Christians insist that a person needs to basically keep the law(or maintain good works) in order to stay saved. These leanings are just as heretical and unscriptural. Nowadays its as if people think that the answer to all the perversion of grace(which we now see) is to go the other extreme of teaching forms of works based salvation( making it dependent on ones own efforts).

If someone has truly been spiritually reborn(born again) and entered into a covenant with God then its impossible for this person to live in the same way they did before their so called conversion. This conversion and what it accompalishes within the heart of a person has nothing to do with ones own strivings. Its impossible for someone to come under the fatherhood and discipline of God as well as become indwelt by the holy spirit and to live(indefinitely) in the same way they did beforehand. Its a complete denial of all of the promises of God to change, purify, sanctify, and regenerate a persons heart. Its a denial of Gods promise to make somebody into a new man made after the likeness of Christ in true holiness and righteousness. Its a denial of Gods promise to mold his elect into the image of Christ. If the spirit of God(the holy spirit) dwells within someone then that person is going to change.

If God promises to go after and chasten his true children when they go astray( as a loving father would) and if God promises to give someone a new heart so that sin is contrary to their nature then the real work was already accomplished the moment that God changed someones nature(by giving them a new heart through the indwelling holy spirit). If we don't see and understand salvation as a complete and total change of someones heart and coming into a covenant with God (that promises freedom from and chastening for sin) then we dont understand what biblical salvation is. There are many who have this view of salvation that suggests it doesnt acctually deeply and profoundly transform a person(when they become born again by the holy spirit). There are many who think that a person can just enter into a covenant with God, become his child, become wedded to Christ and then that same person can just do whatever they want and up and walk away while God sits by idly(God is faithful to his covenant even when we are not). This is not salvation or a person who has had their heart touched by God.. In fact we will likely take salvation to one extreme or the other and not understand what it is unless we see it as nothing short of the power of God to transform someone in the inner man of their heart. Salvation is "regeneration" of the person. The salvation of God is not based off works or effort and it wont use grace as a license to live in sin either. The salvation of God creates new men after Christs image by the work and power of the holy spirit.

Titus 3:4-7

Amplified Bible

4 But when the goodness and kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared [in human form as the Man, Jesus Christ], 5 He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we have done, but because of His own compassion and mercy, by the cleansing of the new birth (spiritual transformation, regeneration) and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that we would be justified [made free of the guilt of sin] by His [compassionate, undeserved] grace, and that we would be [acknowledged as acceptable to Him and] made heirs of eternal life [actually experiencing it] according to our hope (His guarantee).

God's word says that the law and old testament were a foreshadow of the reality. What do you think the stony tablets foreshadowed? What was the new covenant reality?
The old covenant was the remission of sins by annual shed blood of bulls and lambs... which was a foreshadow of the new covenant which is the remission of sins by the once and for all shed blood of Christ.

Obsolete are laws statutes and customs concerning jewish exclusivity and old testament sacrificial system. God is no longer more or less tribal but global and available to all as Jesus Christ,

So today and for two thousand years it's all about a relationship with Jesus... mano to Godo. L0L

The Amplified Bible Exposed!

Another Satanic "bible" Exposed. The devil is always the author of questioning, mocking, and changing God's Word! (Genesis 2:17; 3:1, 4, etc.) TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE SAINTS: God gave no man permission to transliterate or flower up HIS words. The Holy Ghost is the Teacher of God's true people and not any sinful man or committee of rebels who pose as godly scholars. The Holy Spirit teaches the child of God as He studies the pure Word (KJB) and yet sinful men have usurpishly injected themselves into the equation! Beware.

The apostle Paul continually emphasized that the true salvation of God was only found in Christ and that it always brought a lasting transformation within the inner person of someones heart. If someone has always used the grace of God as a license to sin and live a life that is characterized by the sins of the flesh then such a person has not had their hearts regenerated by the holy spirit.

If we don't put an emphasis on salvation changing the heart of someone(by the power of the holy spirit) then we will likely present it through either a hyper grace or legalistic(works based) bias. God's purpose in salvation is not to leave a person unchanged and still affectionate toward their sin. Likewise it is is not to bind someone to a set of rules or regulations either. It is to take someone and make them into a new person through what God's word refers to as "regeneration"

Ephesians 4:24

Amplified Bible

24 and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation].

Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. (NLT Version)

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (KJV)

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Amplified Bible

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; [a]neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor [b]those who participate in homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers [whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander], nor swindlers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you [before you believed]. But you were washed [by the atoning sacrifice of Christ], you were sanctified [set apart for God, and made holy], you were justified [declared free of guilt] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God [the source of the believer’s new life and changed behavior].

Yes because they are blinded by the god of the world.

2 Corinthians 4 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Do you know who this god is ?
The great deceiver of mankind.

He has many names.
Acts 4 8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people! 9If we are being examined today about a kind service to a man who was lame, to determine how he was healed, 10then let this be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11This Jesus is

‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’

12Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

Today and for 2000 years God has been available to all as Jesus Christ.

Before that time and even after the devil has been busy pretending to be God to the nations... so one will be hard pressed to believe the Gospel.

John 7:37-39

Amplified Bible

37 Now on the last and most important day of the feast, Jesus stood and called out [in a loud voice], “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! 38 He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’” 39 But He was speaking of the [Holy] Spirit, whom those who believed in Him [as Savior] were to receive afterward. The Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor).

Its very important to realize that our performance, good works, and even our shortcomings are not things that ultimately determine our standing with God. Its solely based off of whether or not someone has called upon and received Gods son after making the determination that the gospel is true and Jesus is indeed the only hope, way, and salvation of mankind. If someone maintains belief in something contrary(like universalism and that there are many ways to God ) then they dont really believe in the gospel or the testimony that Christ gave concerning himself and humanity's true condition(fallen and in need of redemption).

In Christ and by belief in the gospel one is accepted, beloved, adopted, redeemed, and justified. They are no longer a rebel in the sight of God that lives in opposition to him, but have become a son or daughter through adoption.

God commands all men everywhere to repent and turn to him. There are many who need to repent of denying the gospel and what it says by submitting to the truth of what Gods word says. The truth is that anyone can get saved just

1) by seeking and asking for Gods forgiveness and acknowledging their guilt and that they have lived in rebellion toward him( by breaking his rules and commandments).

2) believing in the true gospel and by personally asking Jesus to save them.

People want to wrangle about words and make salvation a formula, but God knows the heart and will not turn away anyone who genuinely seeks him, believes in his son, and cries out to him for salvation!
