Yes, because they have a feeling of connection and belonging to a group makes them more loyal to it (when it is soo big and all). I have no info on K-pop, but since when it became so good in making people soo brainwashed and obsessed over it... like was it always like this? Because I feel like this manipulation and obsession started with BTS (pls correct me if I am wrong)

wow... they didn't create a fandom, they created a cult. Bt5 and their company are definitely in wrong for brainwashing the fans.
If a person doesn't learn to love himself the way he/she is, then no change would gift the pleasure of self-acceptance and self-love.... and on the other hand real self-love would inspire you to do only healthy and good changes to your body and mind...
Yes, the first thing that led me think that BTS are do not give the best influence...

the obsession has been here since forever, even with the 1st gen when kpop wasn't globally known, but bts contributed to it becoming a worldwide disease

There's three games. One is a card game, another is a roleplay based on HYYH and the other is a rhythm game. Resist.
They initially claimed he would receive counseling after they went to their pastor but it turned out they didn’t do that for him or his sisters. It persisted and then they went to an officer( I believe he was a chief of police or corporal), who was a friend of the family and he just gave the son a stern talking to… turns out like the article stated he too was outed and eventually convicted of being a sexual predator himself (the irony)!
Basically this family was apart of a very popular show on TLC, and by the time the truth came out the son was married with his own family so there was a lot of outpouring of support for him.
Ugggh! This is what I mean, he doesn’t even look anything close to this on their “reality content”(ie bon v, run, etc…). I know to an extent this look is what sells in SK but I just can’t get behind it. I don’t like the overly made up look on any of the KPOp stars.

I loved their shows and content. They had a responsibility to get him help, and most importantly prevent him from abusing others. When they were showing a good side to the world, he was hurting their daughters. An abuser protecting an abuser. Do you think others will come forward? Where did he learn that? I think there's more but the family wants it covered up.
He looks like a robot, like a shell of himself. Just a blank stare… very creepy indeed. I’m sure he is not a fan of this look.
And sadly I think that’s the whole point.

Fans call him a lizard because he doesn't look human with his contacts. They don't think it looks good one him. His smile died years ago. When needed, he smiles but it doesn't reach the eyes, like the James Corden video.

His lips were smaller in another recent article. I guess he got them filled again. He's become very feminized. It's helping them capture the Western music industry but at what cost? It doesn't look right.And sadly I think that’s the whole point.
Maybe he's a clone? Iv been watching a lot of videos of famous people who are cloned(President Biden, a lot of the politicians) and they just don't look like themselves anymore? very bizarre.
Exactly, what other secrets are they hiding, I know there was one other girl aside from the 4 sisters(the youngest sibling at the time was 5…horrible!) not sure if others will come out. This all blew up in 2015.
This is what infuriates me with this industry and this world in general, with their lackadaisical attitude towards the abuse of children and women! It’s purposeful in that it’s the slow incline of making all of this normal. And they are using the industry to do it, to bring it back to the topic at hand, SK may not be as bad as the West but there is something to be said about making “idols”(hate this term btw) cutesy yet mv’s and lyrics can be quite sexually suggestive. It’s attacking the subconscious to subliminally make kids being sexual or seen as sexual is okay.
Another reason why it’s hard for hardcore fans to except Bt5 as grown men, the way they are marketed is like they are still young boys. It’s like the company won’t let them grow up and it becomes confusing for the fans and for the guys. Yoogi and Tae often show their disdain for having to do games that are clearly for 10 year olds, other times they go along with it. But I am sure for all of them they are strugglingnot being able to be who they truly are.
So sad, I definitely am not a fan of the contacts. I know they all seem to wear them but with JimN it’s like he is always wearing them. I think the first time I saw his eye color was watching Bon V. He looks perfectly fine with his own eye color.(better if you ask me)

He used to be so handsome. A buttload of plastic surgery and color contacts and this is what we get... How creepy indeed!

The company is trying to sabotage them with these kiddie concepts, games, and music. Even armys called rm a highlighter head and T*e a poodle recently. Stylists did them dirty. I think in part this is why jk might have gotten the piercing and tattoos..to have some freedom and appear more grown up. I noticed in his live he chose to sing songs that were for adults (explicit lyrics etc.) And yes I've noticed how annoyed T*e and y**ngi get with all this silly content.
