From my perspective, they seem to doing this according to the script the globalists have given our government so we'll get so angry with it and demand Trudeau's resignation because even the fully masked sheeple would even know this a blatant affront to our Canadian Charter of Human Rights, despite what that security guard that appears to have crawled out of retirement had to say. Hugo Talks mentions the same thing currently happening in the UK. That said and while I never thought I'd state this, I think Maxime Bernier might have some seats in Parliament in the next federal election. Time will obviously tell:

In this video below, it demonstrates that there's strength in numbers. While the soy boy from Whole Foods seemed to be a bit of a whiner, it's clear he had no reasonable grounds to refuse Chris or any other patrons in the store, business. The cops also looked quite dumbfounded due to everyone having proof they have the right to be in the store maskless:

They were smart to have the by-law info with then and they definitely knew their stuff. Having Rebel news crew filming their every move helps as well. The football tackle of a single protestor by several cops earlier that day was appalling.

Yes, you're right about having a film crew there. That certainly helped. :) Although, as Rocco Galati has mentioned, one can actually sue a store for not letting in without having a mask on. I see in the video the clerk used the same excuse I was given when I went into Fortino's, which is it's private property. However, if they're operating a business under the provincial and municipal by-law, they need to let you into the store. If not, Rocco has on their website, forms where people can download them and sue the store. Although, it might be beneficial to lodge a complaint with provincial Human Rights Commission first. I would do this, but I've currently found other stores to accommodate me.

If that changes, or if the signs don't come down at the end of March, I might change my mind.
