Lol...I understand..you’ve decided it’s ok to commandeer someone else’s house for your own use and now you can tell other people who can and can’t live there with you..like you own it.

Lol! Only you would get your knickers in a bunch with a (hopefully) hypothetical situation and scenario. It's a "what if" thread, not "what is" thread.

You should take it down a notch and stop projecting.

Who shall we believe darling, you or the people who've been sending me feedback (below) from all over internetland for the past 18 years?
Hmm tricky one.. :p

Haimehenmmli - "I LOVE IT MATE!!! I'm going to put it into my files, with some of my other favorites, from you"
Evachrst3 - "Right on, Mick, I couldn't agree more.Thank you for defending the faith so eloquently".

Chrysalis55- "Just want to say, I love your posts and your messages not only inspire me, sometimes they make me laugh
because you are able to get your point across in such a great way. WAY TO GO waymarker!!!"

Apple Pie - "Really good to see you, Mick. Come on over to 4church, we could do with your input and your humour"
Lillian - "Mick please come back..it's nice having you on the board"
So this throws up a couple of questions from me.

If, as you claim, you have elevated yourself to virtually guru status on another forum then why would you come to a completely different forum where you are considerably less popular and post topics that have absolutely nothing to do with the forums particular content? You have a single anonymous follower on this forum but get adored like Charles Manson on your other forum.

How does that one work? Do you just pop over here to do a bit of passive trolling before returning to your other forum where everybody just loves you to death?

And do you cut and paste every positive message that comes your way? Is this an ego thing?

Just curious.

He calls himself a Christian..but then he talks about taking things that don’t belong to him when the going gets tough. Does one stop being a Christian then and its everyone for themself? No..he deserves to get called out for it.

Yes @Tidal , come the apocalypse you need to wait in whatever house you own to be eaten by roving cannibals, because the property rights of dead people and their dead ancestors continue to exist despite society having completely broken down. Are you really so silly as to think that the necessity to survive such a situation is more important than a title deed stored in a vault in a bank? Capitalist norms relating to the transfer of property are cultural universals, ordained by God, which continue to exist in any situation whatsoever, including the apocalypse.

Whoa Jack, I also save loads of negative feedback from atheists, nonchristians and phoney christians but I can't post them here because most are full of cuss words..:)

PS- a "Reverend Eric Potts" once had a go at me in a forum, he said "You disgust me", but it later turned out he's not a real Reverend at all, he's just a jumped-up "Assistant Methodist Minister".
My guess is he's the caretaker of their local meeting hall and they gave him that lofty title to keep him sweet so he'll carry on slopping out their latrines.. :D

ANYBODY can come live there in our survival group up to a maximum of about 20 because that's all the Hall can accomodate without overcrowding, and 20 is a reasonable number who can be fed by our veg plot, the river and sea fish, the shellfish along the beach, and the berries, nuts and bunnies etc in the woods. plus our own small number of cows, sheep, goats, pigs and chickens.

PS- although some members of our group will hopefully have skills like agriculture, animal husbandry, cookery, medicine and weaponry etc, it's not absolutely essential because we'll be able to muddle through well enough by reading books on the subjects.
Our Hall will be run along the lines of this one below, very well organised..:)

But if people prefer to stay in the cities, good luck with that..:)

Speaking of Manson, it's a pity he died because I was hoping America and Britain would do a swop; we'd take Charlie and let America have Piers Morgan in return.

I really can't get past your asinine thought that 99% are dead yet we still must live by the old laws of man and not make new ones.

Yeah, anybody who stays in a ravaged city won't last 5 minutes.
Perhaps Lisa is one of them 'Fatalist' cultists who believe we shouldn't lift a finger to help ourselves like that bloke I mentioned in another post who rides round town on his bicycle after dark without lights because he thinks it'll be "God's will" if he gets hit by a car... :)
Even Jesus says get the heck out when it hits the fan-
"Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city" (Luke 21:21)

I hope the seeds your using aren't proprietary creations of Monsanto. But only because it's better to live without GMOs. Actually life in Doomsday Hall sounds pretty good to me, gardening is very relaxing.

We need some clarity...in your hypothetical idea are you still a 'Christian' or has that been abandoned?

Good point, and like I said, ANYBODY would be welcome from any race, creed or religion as long as they don't give off negative vibes, otherwise they'd quickly be given the boot because we'd find them just downright-

If you’re a Christian..you should still live like one even in a dystopian future. Here we have a self
Proclaimed Christian talking about taking things from others, withholding it from others and worst of it all..no mention that he follows God or asks Him for help. No...he does what he wants and calls that good. However in a hypothetical you don’t really know what God is going to do and I get that..but this isn’t a real Christian and a dystopian future..this is just a man and his dystopian dreams...which o closes taking from people and making those things his own...so he’s a thief.

I'm not trying to get at you Lisa, but have you really thought this through? Different places at different times have different norms regarding private property. In a situation where literally almost everybody is dead and the world is extremely dangerous, the key thing is to survive. There is an extremely high likelihood that the people who previously owned the property, along with all their descendants are dead. Even if they weren't, they would presumably be concerned with their own survival, which is much more likely in a group of people. You simply can't apply norms which are designed for different conditions to such times, it's a "state of nature", there is no government to enforce contracts or laws hence effectively they are nullified. Given that the other option is to die, occupying unused property is by far the lesser evil. Even the most ardent capitalist would accept that given such a state of generalized chaos and destruction property rights are no longer an important consideration.

My own views on private property are of course quite different to yours, but I'm trying to make you see that different times call for different modes of action, or as it said "desperate times call for desperate measures".
