It's a big joke that he turns into Jay whenever he hits American soil and becomes more chill with a lot of swag compared to when he's in Asia and is more cute and conservative. It's true though. They even brought it up in a Burn The Stage epi where they were teasing him about referring to himself as Jay at concerts.

i dont think it's a big deal? i mean, when i was younger i'd take photos in the bathroom out of boredom. maybe he thought he looked good and could get away with ppl not noticing lmao

There's a difference between taking a picture in the bathroom because we all do it but that's using the mirror. I don't know of many people that take an actual selfie whilst sitting on the toilet and using it. That's just gross.
