I just find the baiting tiresome. Attacks on anyone or anything gets old. I mean, they say insanity is to repeat things over and over expecting different results. If that is true, then this forum has jumped the shark. I will call some out on their comments but rarely, if ever, their religion. It is important to realize that I avoid a lot of threads here and miss stuff on purpose, only to occasionally see other comments. I try to remain as objective as possible.
Again, you make good points. Maybe the issues have jumped the shark on these boards as there’s lots of emotional mud-slinging and a common ground is rarely, if ever, established. It may be why some of the older members haven’t returned, and others have left these particular boards. While some have attempted, there’s still no real in-depth, albeit, political, discussion(s) of why the West should live in a state of perpetual fear and what the “war of terror” truly means. As I stated, a healthy online conversation/debate would be nice and refreshing, but considering the calibre most of comments I read on here, I don’t see that happening. At least that’s the way I perceive it. They’re somewhat indicative of the guy in the OP video.
I also know what you mean with regarding the religious factor as there seems to a lot of chest pounding and spitting on each others’ religions, and I do what I can to stay out of it. There’s enough strife in the world so there’s no reason to read it, too.
All that said, I’ll leave this document that Christopher has mentioned in his lecture:
A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties-Oded Yinon
