If you want to keep Islam, then why don't you condemn the actions of these terrorists. I HAVE NEVER seen a single post that ever called ISIS out. None. These people are representing your religion. There are radical christians but they don't represent a great portion of the religion. It seems with Islam, terrorism is too damn common with it. Do something, not just get mad at everyone that criticizes it.

I just find the baiting tiresome. Attacks on anyone or anything gets old. I mean, they say insanity is to repeat things over and over expecting different results. If that is true, then this forum has jumped the shark. I will call some out on their comments but rarely, if ever, their religion. It is important to realize that I avoid a lot of threads here and miss stuff on purpose, only to occasionally see other comments. I try to remain as objective as possible.
Again, you make good points. Maybe the issues have jumped the shark on these boards as there’s lots of emotional mud-slinging and a common ground is rarely, if ever, established. It may be why some of the older members haven’t returned, and others have left these particular boards. While some have attempted, there’s still no real in-depth, albeit, political, discussion(s) of why the West should live in a state of perpetual fear and what the “war of terror” truly means. As I stated, a healthy online conversation/debate would be nice and refreshing, but considering the calibre most of comments I read on here, I don’t see that happening. At least that’s the way I perceive it. They’re somewhat indicative of the guy in the OP video.

I also know what you mean with regarding the religious factor as there seems to a lot of chest pounding and spitting on each others’ religions, and I do what I can to stay out of it. There’s enough strife in the world so there’s no reason to read it, too.

All that said, I’ll leave this document that Christopher has mentioned in his lecture:

A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties-Oded Yinon

They have every right to be angry. Building a mosque on a 9/11 site literally means victory for them. I would tolerate Islam if I actually saw any good people in it. Don't give me this crap that "stop watching Fox News", I don't even watch that shit. This is all see in Muslims (not all muslims ok). We're tired of this shit where Islam is always innocent and that Christianity and Judaism is the problem.
Every time you comment you make me want to laugh because you simply can't be taken seriously. You sit in your basement or your room, watch lots of porn, masturbate a lot, and occasionally comment on VC and these are your words and no, I don't believe you were joking.

You're either a troll or just someone who can't come up with proper coherent posts without contradicting yourself.

Yeah. Everybody in America is just like those in the video. I could easily find a video that would shock and disrespect any religion, race, etc. I saw it in a video, so it must be true that everyone in a country is like that. I find the gaslighting and attempt at division appalling here. It is as if some are determined to start irrational conversations filled with emotion that continue to divide. If everyone's goal is to insist one believes as they do, then continue...but it is a fruitless exercise.
I dare to say that I truly believe that the majority of Americans despise Muslims. But that's because the majority of Americans are dumber than a bag of bricks. They fall hook, line, and sinker to the propaganda that gets spread in that country. For God's sake the majority of Americans supported the invasion of Iraq according to a poll that was done by Gallop. You have a government and it's people support a war that was based all on lies that resulted in the deaths of probably over a million people up until now with most of them most likely being innocent people that just happen to live there.

I can assure you with your comments that we can find no common ground for I do not think it to be true. When you come in pointing fingers and generalizing in vast swatches, there is little chance for any kind of rational conversation. Not all Americans fear Muslims and not all agree with war or involvement. In a sense, you have now invited other board members to lump Muslims all together which will happen any moment now and this thread will prove as fruitless as my earlier points.

Common ground or not the facts are that the majority of Americans supported the invasion of Iraq according to Gallop. And all based on lies. Either the majority of Americans are so incredibly stupid that they fell for so many blatant lies or they simply didn't care about the lies because they just wanted to go kill a bunch of Arabs in the ME.

Perhaps you missed the point where response were made for a strike without asking the American people and that congress enacted a bill to prevent that from happening again.

You take one of millions of polls to make a point which is disingenuous in support of a statement -- a blanket statement at that, The polls also said Hillary would win in a landslide. When will people realize that polls are as tainted as the main stream media is?

By always pointing to ignorance or belittling an entire nation, you pretty much guarantee yourself that few here will listen. Delivery can often be the way in which we guarantee there will be no rational conversation.
I find OM's approach much more appealing if discussion is truly sought.

Are you saying that Gallup was lying to us when they stated that they're polling and research showed us that the majority of Americans supported the invasion of Iraq?

With all due respect Etg, long time posters here have watched you go from Christianity to comedian and now a Muslim. I know that may sound snarky, but it is also stated in that one must realize you are only at the beginning of a journey and that wisdom comes over time. By all means, post as you please. I am the first to believe that everyone has a right to their freedom of speech and that it should not be squelched. But there are times when if we seek truth, we ask ourselves via personal inventory why we post certain things and what we expect to get from it or the result which may ensue.

I didn’t support invading Iraq. I think the US should stay out of there.

Is there such thing as a perfect forum where people discuss religion and politics and at the same time all get along?
I only been to few but never saw such thing...
Perhaps our creator made it that way. - Surely there is something to learn from this for all of us =)

Right now, I am saying I have to go to work:) And yes, I am saying polls can be slanted, unscientific and tainted. Yes, yes, yes. Let me make it clear, again. Polls are just as tainted as the main stream media and used as excuses to behavior.

Then why do they believe in Islam. And are based in the Middle East only
How do you know what they're saying is the truth? America has military bases in the ME and have the resources to create such groups meaning what if ISIS is actually a group made and supported by America? America invaded Iraq and bombed that place to the stone age so either directly or indirectly the US created ISIS. The majority of Americans according to Gallup supported the Iraq war and therefore at its very core your average American created ISIS.
