Would a ban on all public religious representations and displays ease religious hatreds and violence?

That is where you have lowered yourself to Just as your own people have.

The second century St.Clement of Alexandria wrote: "Every woman should be filled with shame by the thought that she is a woman."

The Church father Tertullian explained why women deserve their status as despised and inferior human beings:

"And do you not knowthat you are an Eve? The sentence of God on this sex of yours lives in thisage: the guilt must of necessity live too. You are the devil's gateway: you arethe unsealer of that tree: you are the first deserter of the divine law: youare she who persuaded him whom the devil was not valiant enough to attack. Youdestroyed so easily God's image, man. On account of your desert that is, deatheven the Son of God had to die."

The sixth century Christianphilosopher, Boethius, wrote in The Consolation of Philosophy, "Woman is a temple built upon a sewer."

In the tenth century Odo ofCluny declared, "To embrace a woman is to embrace a sack of manure..."

St. Thomas Aquinas suggested that God had made a mistake in creating woman: "nothing [deficient] or defective should have been produced in the first establishment of things; so woman ought not to have been produced then."

We are done.

Please have the couth to acknowledge this or be ignored.

You might be done....

Anyway, are you just quoting catholics here, because you do know that catholics are not Christians, they believe a different gospel that sees Jesus lessened and the mother having the role that Jesus has. And they have some really weird “traditions” that aren’t even Biblical...so I’m not going to defend what those people say at all.

As to the issue of women taking a back seat...well we were created to be a man’s helper...we already have the back seat and someone has to be in charge, you can’t both be the head, someone has to be the tie breaker. This doesn’t bother me at all since Jesus says that the man must love the wife as Christ loves the church...He didn’t leave it for a man to dominate us, like say in islam but love with a sacrificial love. And His Spirit will even teach you how this works. Like I say Jesus’ burden is light. God’s ways work.

I don’t see why it bother’s you so much especially when you are so offended by that yet you will belittle me if I don’t agree with you...you seem more like the people you quote that you despise.

That is why there is nothing new or unique in your bible.

Hell, there were about six other saviors born of virgins before Jesus.

Or perhaps you would understand this simplified video better.

That is likely why your own bible tell you that if you want to perfect your wisdom you have to ignore your own dogma.

You might want to follow your bible's advice in this one issue while ignoring what has corrupted your moral sense.

Bible chapter and verse where it says we have to *ignore the bible* to perfect our wisdom please. :D
Christian dogma is from the bible itself, remember?

Your understanding is not based on reality.

Let me help you with other information that refutes you.

It is obvious that god hates women and it’s much deeper than Paul’s idiotic ramblings.
Yep and it's not even god... it's men. Men wrote the bible (and the various other religious books) and they were sexist and saw women as subhuman. There's no god in religion... they wrote a god in as a justification for their preexisting ideas, traditions, and beliefs

You’re wrong. God inspired what the men wrote in the Bible.
I think you’re taking about islam where muslim men view women as subhuman and are sexist. Tents anyone? Wife bearings, sex with children?

No, those men claimed to be "inspired" by god whenever they wrote something that they personally believed and wanted everyone else to follow. This gives them the ability to say "if you disagree with me, you disagree with god because I'm divinely inspired". They use the idea of a higher authority to back up their own ideas, but in reality they were just egotistical human beings who wanted power and control over others. All of the rules that were written into the bible were written by a human hand.

Christian men do those exact same things as well and find "justification" for it in the bible which clearly says that women are lesser than men and are subhuman. Don't pretend like sexism is not a widespread issue across religions. The reason why the bible promotes those ideas is because the bible was written by men who held those ideas. It's a problem in religion as a whole because the abrahamic religions were created by sexist men who wrote sexism into their "holy" books. You're proving my point.

Well if that’s true what about the prophecy that’s come to pass in the Bible? Did the writers just get lucky?

What power and control did the Jews have over people. The Red Sea was only parted when Moses lifted his arms up, who do you think did all the work. The walls of Jericho came down when the people marched around it 7 times, who do you think brought the walls down? The flood that took out everyone but 8 people, was it those 8 that made it flood? No, why would men write a book talking about how they had no power to do anything and their God did it all for them? Even Jesus saves, it’s not we who save ourselves. People ate to egotistical to write things that make them look weak.

Which Christian men do what exactly?

Are you still talking about islam?

What do fictional stories have to do with the physical reality that humans wrote the bible? None of that is relevant to the discussion. Since the abrahamic religions promote the idea that women are lesser than men, that naturally means that the men who created those religions and wrote the religious books were sexist.

Lol there are none.
There’s major prophecy that came true. Jesus sacrificing Himself in Isaiah 53. The times of the end..
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
‭‭2 TIMOTHY‬ ‭3:1-5

Israel being a nation again, people going to and fro and an increase in knowledge. The Bible is very informative about the times of the end.

The Bible was purposely edited and written to conform to the prophecy.

Does it matter if it's new testament or not?
Because Christians were first named as a group in the fifth book of the New Testament.

Acts 11:26 .... And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
See Acts chapter 11 for context.

Some commandments given to the Jews in the Old Testament were not given to the Christians in the New Testament.

It is the same God who wrote it, and to an outsider that makes the whole story fail as a display of a loving God.
God is a holy God as well as a loving God. Non-Christians love to forget that.

Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

God showed his love for us by having Jesus die as a sacrifice for our sins - something that we certainly never deserved. Now that is love.

A Holy God dealing with a sinful nature that He can't stand displays a loving God.

Btw saying 'the same God who wrote it' while you're pointing out actions of men isn't quite frankly honest.

I am not forgetting anything, I am just pointing out the facts of what is written in the book you consider HOLY. But you ignore that completely and just waltz on repeating the same things I already heard you say in every single post here.

There is no evidence for this loving God you preach, because the evidence of His law is written in this book you call the Bible and whether it was for the Jews (his chosen people?) or not, it is a fact that it is written in that book and if God believes those rules are right for his chosen people he must believe they are good either way or he would be a very contradicting type isn't it?

Not really, for example Paul clearly distinguished his opinions from commandments he received from Christ.

Once you've received the gift of God which is salvation in Christ, you know it doesn't work like that anyways that's why Christians were willing to die rather than worshipping a pope.

You said
Christian men do those exact same things as well and find "justification" for it in the bible which clearly says that women are lesser than men and are subhuman
If you could give examples that backs up your 'christians believe that women are subhuman' claim without violating fundamental Jesus teachings.

Don't pretend like sexism is not a widespread issue across religions.
In a society where mankind proved to be selfish and violent because of sin, it's not really surprising to find sexism everywhere even among scientists.
