Would a ban on all public religious representations and displays ease religious hatreds and violence?

I am fine, it was just example about poor atheists wanting a country and never having one...
And mine was just an example of where believers make it uncomfortable for non believers and of a place where your belief would be far from ridiculed. Texas is another one.

Indeed ? Care to give an example ?
I just did, two.

There was an atheist poster here from Texas for years who used to complain about how ostracized she was all the time.

I live in Pennsylvania in a 3square mile town with 12 churches, where 70% of the population has lawn signs saying “god family football”, and the football team prays before games despite being sued for it, where the only holidays the schools recognize are Christian and it’s still referred to as Christmas and Easter break etc.. where everything shuts down on sundays and jobs where women typically work are paid crap because the county commissioners have stated it is supposed to supplement a husbands pay and doesn’t deserve more.

So if where you are living is hostile towards your beliefs you always have the option of moving to a place where they are instead hostile towards others.

Nope. I just would prefer no displays of religion in the public space like people wearing crosses and headscarves etc because it causes tensions. That is different from silencing them.

Churches are fine with me, as are mosques and any kind of temple. But the state should be neutral and so should public domain be.
Ha christians shouldn't be wearing crosses or anything of that sort anyways. But it's like taking a wow in court with hand placed on a book in which written never to take wows. I doubt anyone would have any problem with pure christianity...I thought you were about to should down churches too...I would take that deal with some conditions... No atheism or promiscuity promoting too. Equal rights and all that...

So dishonest wages now is our fault. If it's all, i conclude that christians make atheist feel uncomfortable simply by existing.
I was expecting some articles about abuse or something...

Sure, no private ideologies in the public sphere would be fine and less sex to sell is something we can agree on.

I guess you are another one who suffers from either selective reading or comprehension... you gave personal testimony you as a Christian were uncomfortable living in an atheist area, I gave you a counter argument of the kind of place which exists that would make an atheist uncomfortable. Comparing apples to apples not apples to oranges. But go ahead with your bias to any comment that doesn’t validate your preconceived notions.

So take away Freedom of Expression as well as Freedom of Religion?

What would your Government do to people that wanted to Worship or Express themselves in public?

Jail? Shoot them?

Your Ideal Government sounds horrific...

You are the one coming with such atrocious ideas, not me.

I live in Europe and here people get fined for wearing the burqa/face veil and are banned from wearing religious symbols in government buildings.

Worst punishment for breaking the rules is a fine.. nobody has to suffer for this law.
You are really trying to make something dramatic out of this that is implied nowhere.

For the same reason anything is uncomfortable. It creates an in group vs out group where the outgroup feels ostracized. Imagine being a Jewish or Muslim kid in those schools while they are celebrating the Christian holidays but you are invisible (outcast).

This isn’t rocket science and if my post wasn’t more self evident I apologize but I assumed it would be.

I don't know i see difference between somebody feeling that way simply because they are minority, and there is nothing wrong with it, objective reality. And when there is active actions from majority to make them feel as miserable as possible...Perhaps it is rocket science after all...

I don’t understand what about what you said that is any different.. I didn’t see anyone treating you badly, I saw your own discomfort.

Or perhaps you would understand this simplified video better.

Bible chapter and verse where it says we have to *ignore the bible* to perfect our wisdom please. :D
Christian dogma is from the bible itself, remember?
You are an ignorant piece of garbage, but I do not mind educating you about your own bible h you do not have the I. Q. required to understand it.

Hebrews 6 King James Version; 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Yep and it's not even god... it's men. Men wrote the bible (and the various other religious books) and they were sexist and saw women as subhuman. There's no god in religion... they wrote a god in as a justification for their pre-existing ideas, traditions, and beliefs
I agree, but it took and takes evil men to not recognize that they hate women because the bible insists that all men are inferior to their slave wanting god and the worst slave is a male slave in power over women.

All but the religious know how evil the religious thinking is.

God is a holy God as well as a loving God. Non-Christians love to forget that.
Thanks to all the hate your god shows as he almost always kills and never seems to cure the way Jesus said he came to do.

Why is Yahweh the prick and Jesus the good guy so different when your idiotic trinity concept make them the same entity?

God showed his love for us by having Jesus die as a sacrifice for our sins - something that we certainly never deserved. Now that is love.
On Jesus dying for you.

You have swallowed a lie and don’t care how evil you make Jesus to keep your feel good get out of hell free card.

It is a lie, first and foremost because, like it or not, having another innocent person suffer or die for the wrongs you have done, --- so that you might escape responsibility for having done them, --- is immoral. To abdicate your personal responsibility for your actions or use a scapegoat is immoral.

You also have to ignore what Jesus, as a Jewish Rabbi, would have taught his people.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Deuteronomy 24:16 (ESV) "Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.

Psa 49;7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

There is no way that you would teach your children to use a scapegoat to escape their just punishments and here you are doing just that.

Jesus is just a smidge less immoral than his demiurge genocidal father, and here you are trying to put him as low in moral fibre as Yahweh. Satan applauds you though as you are doing her work. Congratulations, Christian.
