The most important tip I can give is to disconnect the supply before you stick the screwdriver in.

No, I can do most household electrical fixing.
I could learn more if I needed, but so long as I can fix fixtures and fittings, and add in the odd switch or socket or light, then I can do what I need.

Could I wire up a house?
In an emergency I could get useable power on, but it wouldn't be tidy. (Like bloke curtains)

Women see the situation and see that there is a lot to gain from collaborating with, serving, obeying enabling, protecting men. And there's not a lof of immediate benefit from going the other direction and saying "fuck you to men". Men have established a reward system: the more you please them/serve them, the better they treat you.
Even the so-called "feminists" all they can repeat is "not my husband","not my son", "not all men". Rapists also have women in their lives who believe that they're good guys LOL. Every rapist is someone's son. Not to mention approximately six women are killed every hour by men around the world, most by men in their own family or their partners, that's that's just the reported cases. And the men who don't act on their violent impulses still get off to porn. Porn exist so that men don't have to be one of these "bad" violent men on the extreme end of the spectrum, the fact that it's so popular amonsgt men speaks volume. They can just watch the violence on screen instead of going out and commiting the violent acts and facing the risk of going to prison. I don't believe that porn can turn men into violent rapists, it just triggers an instinct for hurting women that was already there. I believe that the dynamics btw men and women on a larger scale and o
an individual scale is the same as the dynamics btw a sadist and a masochist. Like I said, women have been mistreated throughout history and are still yearning for men's love and validation. They throw other women under the bus and blame other women for how we are treated as a group. Some women are so male-identified they blame prostitutes for why men see women as sex objetcs, without realizing that it's the other way around; prostitution exists because men see women as sex objects, get it right. Men have invented porn and prostitution. And the women in these industries aren't to blame.
In short, women are fucked because they willingly choose to side with men and mindlessly follow authority. I'd say the majority of people just mindlessly follow authority, it's not a woman thing to be submissive and compliant. It's just the easy road.
Me personally, I'm happy that feminism exist because it introduced me to separatist ideology. But I don't invest in the female collective anymore, bc we're fucked (figuratively and literally). We're fucked because women care more abt their animal instncts (fucking, breeding) than liberation, and because they choose the easy path of submitting to men.

I run an HVAC company (and own it - this has been my gig since corona shut down the schools). They were having massive issues with a central air install they did that they just couldn’t figure out how to get it to work. On the second day of trouble shooting the damn thing I call the tech and tell him to please pull the information off the furnace because I need to check if the furnace is incompatible. He ignores me. Over the next two weeks I ask him the same thing another five times. He ignores Me every single time. This is going on for three weeks now. My husband is laying on the couch and I tell him “babe I think the issue is the furnace isn’t getting enough airflow to allow the coil to function properly” he says “YOUR RIGHT THATS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS”

furnace is changed two days later and the client now has air conditioning.

another call - mini split is leaking water from the inside unit. Assign it to the tech. Tell him check the drain something probably got sucked in and clogged it in that big storm we just had. He tells me NO, that’s not the issue he knows what the issue is. Goes out and “fixes” whatever issue he decided it was. Customer calls me an hour later telling me it’s now leaking worse. Husband goes back the next morning and there’s a clog in the fucking drain from the storm.

moral of the anecdote: some men devalue women so much they refuse to listen to them EVER even when they know they’re right because it would damage their pride

the technician in the above anecdote is typically a fantastic technician - HVAC, plumbing, electrical. He’s great. This isn’t a matter of incompetence.

so yeah.. I don’t do the physical labor. Not because I’m a woman but because I’m TINY and have a hard time opening jars cuz I have no upper body strength (I know plenty of women for whom this doesn’t apply). But Apparantly I’m not completely ignorant or incapable in these “manly” endeavors either.

Conversely, being a man and having the muscle for heavy lifting doesnt guarentee you're going to be technical-minded. Things would be so much better if competence wasnt assumed based on gender and everyone's strength was appreciated for what they are.
