We drove down the east coast the summer I was 10, and one thing I remember was all the fireflies.Oh my.. come East. We have them.

That's kind of like assuming every German is like Hitler. When it comes to conquistadores I prefer Pedro de Alvarado and how he died. The likes of Ponce de Leon, maybe?

We're still getting mileage from his "discovery" of what is believed to be the Oldest City in the US, and the Fountain of Youth. Canned history, of course, but such is life. It was hardly an insult. That's kind of like assuming every German is like Hitler. When it comes to conquistadores I prefer Pedro de Alvarado and how he died.
I remember visiting family in Norfolk (I was also 10), and my great aunt lived on Witchduck Road, on the water... and the fireflies were amazing. We drove down the east coast the summer I was 10, and one thing I remember was all the fireflies.
