They are all true...for the pope? The master ecumenicalist..

Pope Francis announced that May 14 will be a Day of Prayer, Fasting and Charitable Works to end COVID-19. The initiative came from The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, who proposes that everyone, regardless of religion, participate.

POPE FRANCIS
I accepted the proposal of the High Committee for the Human Fraternity, so believers of all religions will spiritually unite on May 14 in a day of prayer and fasting and works of charity, to implore God to help humanity overcome the coronavirus pandemic.

The UN's Secretary-General, António Guterres, also tweeted his support for the “moment for reflection, hope and faith.”

This day is part of the Committee's task to share the message of the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together. The pope signed it in Abu Dhabi in February 2019 with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar.

Now, more than a year after the signing of the Document, the members invite all religious leaders and people to ask God to bless and safeguard the world, so it will be better than before the pandemic.

Fear of punishment is a good motivator though...
Proverbs‬ ‭9:10‬ ‭
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
‭‭
Luke‬ ‭12:5‬ ‭
But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!
‭‭
That is very telling that you equate "punishment" and "the LORD"...

You should post something about that in the how to recruit for Christianity thread or whatever it was titled
Thanks but I've been around and around with the Christians on this forum about the absurd concept of eternal torment too many times.

The Bible spoke in Thessalonians of doctrines of demons. Throughout mankind's history there have been religions, spiritualities, and deity's all over the world. These deities are nothing more than demons and or fallen angels that have devised their own religious and/or spiritual system complete with their own teachings. These religions arent man made. The knowledge is handed to man through entities. The pagan gods, the norse gods, the babylonian gods were nothing more than demons and/or fallen angels that devised religions attract the worship of man. Allah is a territorial spirit and fallen angel holding the middle east in spiritual bondage and darkness.

Somebody made this earth and filled it with life...

Somebody made you.

That can be a tuff pill to swallow for the proud... but it's true.

Who is that Somebody who made this earth and filled it with life ? Well that's where religions come in and try to claim knowledge about...

There are only three sorts of people in the world.

Those who know Jesus Christ is God and accept it and try to prove it.

Those who know Jesus Christ is God and reject it and try to disprove it.

Those who don't know.
I love this! I empathize a lot with denying the right belief and going to hell for it. It is something I wrestle with a lot as a Christian. How can Jesus let the people he loves so much spend eternity in hell if they reject him, yet are still kind people? That’s a hard pill to swallow! With that being said. There have been times in my life that I cannot explain, only that I knew that God was there. Between Islam and Christianity, Muslim people are not inherently bad, they just were lost along the way. As far as the Jews, their religion is incomplete. Jesus came, he died and said “it is finished”. And it is.

I think that’s where you need to listen to your soul and call it to Jesus. Ask him to be in your heart. Ask him to let you get to know him and he will and you will believe and understand that he is all there ever was and all there ever will be.

I would disagree with that, I think Judaism is more complete than Christianity and less contradictory as well.

Jews have a very complete and fulfilling religion, their awaited savior has no bearing on their salvation with is only through the Abrahamic God Yahweh. For Jews, the Torah is eternal and contains everything needed for the rest of history. To add to it is a sin.

Hi! I get what you’re saying and in that sense I do agree. Judaism waits for the world to be redeemed and in their redeemed world, God will make everything good again. Christianity believes we have already been redeemed, spiritually but still have to endure the evil of this world to make it to heaven. What I meant by incomplete is that Jews still wait for their messiah while Christians already know who theirs is.

That is the more eschatological scope of things, the world will eventually be redeemed (which is beautiful btw).
As far as their religion itself and what they believe, there is no sacrifice or anything necessary to seek forgiveness from Yahweh, as Yahweh generously forgives. They must simply obey Yahweh and observe the Torah. It's a rather easy religion actually because everything for them was laid out by Yahweh to Moses on Mount Sinai. Just follow the ten commandments.

Their awaited Messiah is entirely irrelevant to all of this regarding salvation, heaven/hell and the rest.

If anything the Torah revealed their need for a savior, because none of them were able to obey and keep the law. Have you read the Torah? None of them kept the commandments.

Nonsense, Jews have been keeping the Torah for 2800 years

Philippians‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭
So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
