That’s where we differ..I think most homeless people have addiction issues. Which makes it difficult to help them. You are giving non answers to try to obscure things. Most homeless people work. Many homeless people do not have addiction issues. What requirements would they need to meet for you to give them housing? And if you aren’t giving them a sandwich or a pair of shoes because you say it doesn’t solve their problem of being homeless but you aren’t willing to give them housing to actually solve their problem of being homeless than what exactly are you trying to say and why can’t you just be blunt with your unwillingness to help those who are struggling and own it? If there’s nothing to be ashamed of why these dirty tactics?
I think helping yourself is the best help. You can give a helping hand but in the end it will be on the individual to help themselves won’t it? That’s the key to success.
I have more a mind set of teaching a person to fish then providing them with the fish...that’s my perspective on what help means. That’s why I say feeding them isn’t help..its creating dependency and it perpetuates a problem..being homeless.
Does feeding someone and giving them a pair of shoes solve their homeless problem?
