I haven't been keeping up, etagloc, wasn't communism a great thing a few threads ago?

... but anyway, this is undoubtedly an interesting time (if also frightening and uncertain) time to be a youth: You have the opportunity to undo millennia of stupidity by not bowing down to the Illuminati overlords and simply doing what you're told and believing what you're told to believe... and this time, the truth is put right smack dab in your face.

The question is, I suppose, which reality option does a person today think looks sane?

A)

... or B)

...?

..?

...?

...?

Communism? This is not about communism.

Communism. Feminism. Socialism. Pretty much any ism.

As I understand these words, these words have no specific meaning. As I understand these words, these words mean whatever the user thinks they mean. In this way, these words can mean a million different things.

Communism can mean a million different things. I mention it in a joking way in my last post.

There's a million different versions of communism. If you want to discuss it in a serious way, we have to agree on a definition. What precisely are we meaning by that word? What exactly, what specifically are we referring to? Cuba? Vietnam? China? South Africa? Venezuela? Soviet Union? Communism in theory? Communism in practice? Trotskyism? Leninism? Stalinism? Marxism? Proudhon? Bakunin?

This thread wasn't meant in a serious way. But if you want to discuss communism in a serious way, that sounds good. But what specifically would you want to talk about?
