Propaganda and Spooks

“For a short time last year, CNN employed military specialists in ‘psychological operations’ (psyops). This was confirmed to Trouw by a spokesman of the U.S. Army. The military could
have influenced CNN’s news reports [about the crisis in Kosovo].”....
Major Thomas Collins, of the U.S. Army Information Service acknowledged: “Psyops personnel, soldiers and officers, have been working in CNN’s headquarters in Atlanta
through our programme
‘Training With Industry’. They worked as regular employees of CNN.
Conceivably, they would
have worked on stories [
during the Kosovo war]. They helped in the production of news.”
The military CNN personnel belonged to the airmobile Fourth Psychological Operations Group, stationed at FortBragg, North Carolina. One of the main tasks of this group of almost 1200 soldiers and officers is to spread ‘selected information’. [We should pause here, briefly, to note that in this context the phrase ‘selected
information’ generally
means vicious distortions and outright lies.]
“American psyops troops
try with a variety of
techniques to influence
media and public opinion in armed conflicts in which American state interests are said to be at stake. [We
need to pause again to note that ‘American state
interests’ generally means
the financial interests of
U.S. monopoly capitalists.] The propaganda group was involved in the Gulf
war, the Bosnian war and
the crisis in Kosovo.”

And now....

Facebook, the world’s top social media platform, is
reportedly seeking to hire hundreds of employees with US national security clearance
licenses.
Purportedly with the aim of weeding out “fake news” and
“foreign meddling” in
elections.

Just wondering if the heads of DARPA have national security clearance...

"Ulfkotte became a vocal critic of Western policy. In 2014, Ulfkotte published the book Gekaufte Journalisten (German Bought Journalists), in which he stated that the CIA and other secret services pay money to journalists to report stories in a certain light. According to Ulfkotte, the CIA and German intelligence (BND) bribe journalists in Germany to write pro-NATO propaganda articles, and it is well understood that one may lose their media job if they fail to comply with the pro- Western agenda. The English translation of the book is due to be published under the title Journalists for Hire: How the CIA Buys the News in May 2017. ~Wikipedia

Media rivals...all printing half truths

Heavily featured are German publications/media houses and afew other European ones.

And i could use a Mark Twain quote right now :)
“There are only two forces that can carry light to all the corners of the globe…the sun in the heavens and the Associated Press down
here.”

To propagate is the best definition. And I don't think that is neutral at all. To deploy propaganda is to constantly spread an idea or thing outward. So it doesn't matter what you are spreading, truth or lies.

The confusion and division that comes from this term is simple. It's people not making the unconscious conscious. A fundamental denial of what exists within their own psyche. Where the unfamiliar becomes guilty. Those who don't agree, become the enemy.
