If YHWH isn’t 3rd person if I AM, what is?

I AM was not the only thing God said in response to what His name was, and what to tell the Israelites:
The first thing He answered was I Am. You can go with what you want but I’ll accept His answer as being His Name.

And names don’t translate. If my name is Joe in English, I don’t go to Mexico and start telling them my name is Jose. No matter what language I’m around, my name is my name. Same with the Creator. In short, you don’t have to translate His Name to third person because He didn’t tell you to. And Yahweh doesn’t mean anything in Hebrew while Yehovah contains the word “mischief/disaster” which I don’t believe He’d associate His Name with

Moses and the Prophets do not agree with you at all on this. They clearly understood to refer to God as YHWH, and not I AM. Nobody ever calls God “I AM” anywhere in the Tanach, before or after, nor does God ever use that phrase before or after he responds to Moses. Nobody ever named their children based on I AM, their names were based on YHWH, for example:
2 things:

1. You’re telling me about what man did and said instead of telling me what the Creator said His Name to be.

2.

Jeremiah 8:8
How can you say, "We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?

There’s a reason god/lord replaced the Name.

Can you show where anybody ever refers to God as “I AM”, or gives their children names based on “I AM”? An example before or after God telling Moses “I AM” would be sufficient.
God saying it Himself wasn’t good enough?

The suspicion of you pushing Freemason doctrine is based on you denying the name of YHWH, not on you “stressing the use of God’s name”.
YHWH isn’t a name though. You can’t look at those 4 letters and know the correct pronunciation..

Webster’s? Using English definitions to English words to define words in an earlier and different language is foolish.
What about the Egyptians worshiping a moon god by that name?

God says all throughout the Tanach that His name is YHWH, and everybody in the Tanach knew that was His name, hence the phrase “HalleluYAH”, and the men and woman naming their children after the name of “YHWH”, and not I AM.

Moses and the Prophets and the Israelites all understood this. It’s you that doesn’t understand it.
You can’t tell me about Moses and the prophets holding the beliefs you do. If you understood them you wouldn’t hold the beliefs you do.

And theres a difference between what was being said at that time, and what people decided to translate what was being said into.

so none of the righteous men in the Torah & Prophets had the name right, including Moses, yet here you are, 4,000+ years later, an anonymous poster on a conspiracy message board, claiming that all these men who had relationships with God were wrong?

For example, David was a man after God’s own heart, yet God never rebuked him for calling on YHWH & saying “HalleluYAH”? Everybody was wrong except you? I’m not very convinced.

Hopefully, soon rather than later, you’ll let go of this strange doctrine that nobody in the history of Israel ever believed or taught.

It is one of the names of God and a designation.
There are others such as the Most Merciful or Most compassionate etc names and attributes:

We also say 'My God' or 'Ilahi' when we are begging God here is an example in this song:
same song different version no subtitles:):
I really like your post Desert Rose.
I would really like to know what is the meaning of Allah.
We know what we are - we are human beings. Humans have names, Angelica, Rose, Robert, Joseph
We know that spiritual beings are -Angels Angels have names too like Gabriel
We know what God is -The Almighty, The Creator His name is Yahweh as found in the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls.
Yahweh means- He causes to become

I am not familiar with Middle East Languages so could you please tell me what is the meaning of Allah in English? Or is it a name?

There are different schools of Hindu philosophy. Some believe Vishnu to be Supreme God, others Shiva. Vedanta regards the worship of any deity as a means of approaching Brahman i.e. Supreme God, but they don't consider those deities to manifest all the qualities of Brahman.

When you get into the Mahayana there are other ways of perceiving Buddha, though you are essentially correct. But in Tibet for example there are the Tantric Deities i.e. forms of Buddhas or the Bodhisattvas. It's true Buddha said not to be worshipped but there is nonetheless quite a lot of Devotion to Him involved in many forms of Buddhism.

I think the Muslims consider Allah to be a Name, not a designation like we would say "God". Am I wrong???

Ok, you can think that, I think differently.
Ok but Vishnu is nowhere near the name Yahweh. Please tell me if Vishnu is a God someone thought up or is he the real Spiritual Almighty being in Heaven

Why couldn't people respect Buddha's wishes to not worship or revere him.

I'm waiting on Desert Rose to let us know what is the meaning of Allah for those of us that don't know the language.

Some religions believe in castes - people that belong to high, middle and low classes and should be treated accordingly. God says he's impartial and to him we are ALL THE SAME.
Some religions permit polygamy, when God says one man and one woman.
Some religions permit animals and people to be revered, when God says all worship must go to him.
Some religions permit violence and other acts that God forbids.
Some religions are lenient on domestic violence, when God says a man needs to love his wife and treat her like he would treat himself.

Umm no let’s keep this civil or we can really get into who believes in Freemason doctrine and who doesn’t. God was asked what His Name was and was given an answer. I believe that answer to be His Name. You haven’t really given an answer as to why that response He gave isnt His Name
You'll have to ask God why he gave that answer and feel free to disregard the name Jehovah that's in the Bible over 6,000 times.

If you bother to read Leviticus 22:31-33 You'll see what he says as well, maybe not, it seems your mind is already made up and we cannot teach you anything else.

Yet not once in the Gospels. The debate on the name of God is a Judaic one, not Christian.
Please study the history of the Bible. About the first scrolls, about the manuscripts, translations and all that good stuff so you can understand why The Almighty's name is not in some Bibles anymore

Some names do translate and some don't, it depends on the language, the name and the ability of people to be able to pronounce the name. Would you like to make it easier for someone to say your name or not, if possible??

2 things:

1. You’re telling me about what man did and said instead of telling me what the Creator said His Name to be.

2.

God inspired men to write his words, in other words, he communicated with them to tell them what he wanted written.

Jeremiah 8:8
How can you say, "We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?

There’s a reason god/lord replaced the Name.

You don't believe in the devil do you? Why would God want his name replaced and taken out oh HIS HOLY WORD?

God saying it Himself wasn’t good enough?
It seems you don't like God??

YHWH isn’t a name though. You can’t look at those 4 letters and know the correct pronunciation..
If you know a thing or two about Hebrew, you'll know there's no vowels, hence the YHWH spelling.

I’m your haste to tell me about myself you must not have read what I said. I never said they were wrong about anything. I said there was a difference between what they said and how what they said was translated. You have translations of what they said but you don’t have what they said in the pure Hebrew tongue they spoke. I’ll ask again about the yah Egyptian moon god. Have an answer?

As far as the rest, you can’t believe what you do then tell me about Moses and the prophets. Nor do you know enough about the history of true Israel (not those guys in the Middle East wearing yamakas like their cousins the catholics) to tell me what they believed. I’m not ever trying to convince anyone of anything. I put the information on the table so that those who want to grow, can.

I don’t have to ask Him about His answer. I believe Him.

And I already said Hovah means mischief so I’m not sure why you think Gods eternal name is associated with mischief and disaster

Your information regarding this subject is way off. You need to re-evaluate your sources, because whoever you are learning from is misleading you. Shalom.

There's no name for God in any of the original New Testament manuscripts. Even Old Testament quotations do not contain a name, only God (theos) or Lord (kyrios). There is one Bible and one history, so I'm not sure what history you are referring to.

I guess it’s easier to say that than to explain why there’s an Egyptian god with the name “yah”. Either way, best regards...

THANK YOU for the honesty, not everybody has that quality.

I see you're mind is already made up, your mind is pretty concrete we see. Then if we can't teach you or you can't learn something new then there's not point in arguing or going back and forth. End of discussion.

I'm sorry but you're not making sense. You said that God's name has been gradually removed from the Bible. I wasn't talking about the Bible. I said that his name is nowhere to be found in the original Gospels. I don't have to search the web for anything supporting your claim. I'm claiming that Jesus' Father has no personal name and the Gospels back that up in their lacking of one.

I really like your post Desert Rose.
I would really like to know what is the meaning of Allah.
Thank you for your kind words Glad 2 Know.
I had to look that up and this is what I found:
"..... it should also be noted that the Arabic word “Allah” contains a deep religious message due to its root meaning and origin. This is because it stems from the Arabic verb ta’allaha (or alaha), which means “to be worshiped.” Thus in Arabic, the word “Allah” means “The One who deserves all worship.” This, in a nutshell, is the Pure Monotheistic message of Islam."
for more: http://www.thedeenshow.com/what-does-the-word-allah-mean/

For myself, I follow what the Creator describes of himself in the Quran:

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence.
Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep.
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.
Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission?
He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them,
and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills.
His Throne ( and dominance) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not.
And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
[Al-Baqarah: 255]

and here 112:1-4:
