Back to the original topic, there is not one single ayat/verse in the Koran (Quran) that instructs anyone to pray 5 times a day.
Instead, the Koran instructs its readers to

Why hast Thou ordered us to fight? Wouldst Thou not grant us respite to our (natural) term, near (enough)?" and practise regular charity (

, THEN open The Way for them: for "I AM" is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

establishing constant prayer (
1 Thess. 5:17)
, and practicing regular charity (
Matt. 6:1-4,

Sura 9:71. The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they

DISCIPLINE). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you "True in Faith", both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So
establish constant Prayer,
give regular Charity (
Matt. 6:1-4,
Mark 12:31), and hold fast to "I AM". He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help!

So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Koran as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of "I AM"'s bounty; yet others fighting in "I AM"'s Cause. Read ye, therefore, as much of the Koran as may be easy (for you); and
establish Constant Prayer (
