The short, straight answer is very simple:
The high-bypass, turbofan jet engine, used on all commercial jet aircraft, is virtually incapable of producing the "vapor" trails that we see criss-crossing the skies today. The higher the altitude, the lower the relative humidity, making it virtually impossible for a jet engine to exhaust the kind of trails being witnessed today. Chemically-laden trails that did NOT exist 40-50 years ago, and NEVER slowly widened throughout the day.
It's easy for people to forget what the skies looked like decades ago, because most are so spiritually sound asleep that they barely take notice of their immediate surroundings, or the massive changes taking place in our natural environment.
Measurable and verified increases in aluminium, barium and strontium from these geoengineering efforts, aka "chemtrails", clearly indicate they are NOT simple water vapor contrails.
Roughly 45 years ago (1976), six weeks were personally spent recording daily observations of the clouds, as part of a grade school science class assignment. The types of clouds observed were recorded on a daily basis, including their estimated altitude. There were no "cobweb" looking clouds at that time, no sustained trails across the skies that slowly dissipated for hours, and certainly no aircraft exhaust trails that stopped and then restarted, or made 180 degree U-turns, etc.
