What can religion offer me, Who finds Truth everywhere?

I see religion as a bureaucracy built by humans; usually around a human who possessed great wisdom, presence, and/or something miraculous. I see Truth in all religions but none have it exclusively. While "A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is handy to have, it's same with religious scripture. I find it more than likely that much is lost in translation, and it best to use your own senses, judgment, and just be aware of how the universe works.

You have one life to find eternal life OR die in your sins.

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I think it's more likely that I'm an immortal Soul, learning about life by inhabiting a mortal body.

Yes, but...if someone came up to you and threatened to kill you unless you believed something, does that make believing it more or less likely? That's an argument you might get in grade school. Consider me an 'adult'. C'mon...you can do better than that.

In order to create the perfect lie, it must have some truth in it.

The problem with what you are saying is that if you are forming a conclusion that this is true and that is true and combining all of these things that you believe to be true from other religions. All you would need is to find someone who agreed with your list of what is true and you would have the beginnings of a new religion.

This is because 100% of the time, people will develop an ideology. Therefore, freedom of religion is the only solution to the reality that people will experience disagreements in the development of their own ideology. The only difference is that religion is the word you use to describe this reality when a large number of people agree on what they believe.

It is like the main file folder in your computer storage that holds your pictures and uses smaller folders to organize when pictures were taken at different holidays or special events.

So, it is not something is unique. Everyone has a "religion". We just usually don't use that file folder to describe it. However, if you have pictures in folders for different special events, it doesn't matter if you don't use the main file folder to keep all your pictures folders in called pictures.

The same goes for religion. What you believe to be true would be categorized in the same main file folder called "religion."

I see what you're getting at. The LAST thing I would want to do is form another religion. Why? Because it's something pre-packaged and if it contains enough stuff that one can believe, it easy to accept the rest, and stop thinking about those things. I went through a period of, "Well, what AM I? Christian? Buddhist? Taoist?", as if I HAD to choose one! Otherwise...I won't belong...to...a group? A herd? A family? What is the purpose of religion?

Haven't we already?
Yes but the point in everything is that there IS some objective truth out there. Just because its not agreed upon (i.e. different "religions") doesnt mean that its not out there. But if you say its up to every individual to use their own judgement to find that objective truth then that leads everyone in all different directions based on the different experiences and ways a person's judgement of reality could be affected. If left up to the person and not some objective truth, the "truth" the son of a rothschild would perceive would be different than the "truth" a child in poverty would perceive. This isnt to defend religions but to defend the idea of there actually being an objective truth that can be found.

Here's one, "As you sow, so shall you reap." If we observe the world, there's 'objective' truth everywhere. If by objective truth you mean truth for all, then, as we are all humans, we all share certain truths.

Religion will probably offer you nothing of substance that will last, however a Personal Relationship with Christ will offer you Salvation, Joy, Hope, Glory and all good things you could possibly imagine. I suggest searching to know Jesus Christ, Religion offers nothing...

I suspect what you call truth is grains of wisdom scattered around...Thing is if your beliefs isn't grounded somewhere if you don't have solid foundation, you have no way to discern truth from lies. Spiritual knowledge is not exact science so only thing you left with is trusting your gut. Im glad it's good enough for you :) From my pov your spiritual journey described in this meme...

I personally think we have all we need within us to discern Truth. You need your religion but not for that.

"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense." -- the Buddha

Where did this wonderous universe come from ?

And on earth awesomeness is overflowing. How refreshing is that crystal creek serving sparkling water on the slope. And among apple trees love flutter like butterflies. And have you seen the sun blush in the west before bedtime ?

Somebody made all this and sustains it and that somebody is worth all the honor glory and worship. And He will not give it to another.

Do you know Him ? If you don't know Him by now i will tell you His name. For He spoke it all into being because He is the Word of God.

And His name is Jesus Christ.
