As this thread was kicked off with a Johnny Cash song I'm gonna post this here.

Mr Cash appears to be a big favourite of our resident Christian Zionist posters (late and current) so I'll direct this question to @Red Sky at Morning

As far as I'm aware all Freemasons are forbidden from discussing two things, politics and religion, so why did Johnny Cash use religion to further his career?

Also, the below video I found quite interesting as it depicts the trappings of commercial success being worthless to you as you approach death....or re-birth in his case obviously.

Intresting isn't it how this sad reflective song was released just 3 months before his wife's death and 4 months before his. Like he knew it was imminent.

Check out the ring, no secret he was on the square.

A musical piece by Estonian composer Veljo Tormis.Largely influenced by finnish epic "Kalevala" and he used alot of old finno-ugric singing styles, rhymes etc in his compositions. You havent heard anything like it and never will.
Has english subs.

"Kalevala 9. poem tells about the birth of iron, which is an inspiration for this composition. It tells a story how heavenly smith Ilmarinen forged iron into weapons and jewelry, and made it swear an oath to never eat the flesh of the innocent, or spill the blood of mankind. However, the forging was spoiled by foul ingredients, and very quickly after being forged into a physical form, iron broke this oath, and caused the god Ukko to curse it altogether. "

Tolkien used "Kalevala" as one of his inspirations for writing his books.Elvish language he based on the old finnic/estonian that is used in this video.
This one has better quality but no english subs

Aint nothing other like 90's ADF.

Lyrics are largely based on "Bidrohi".

Bidrohi is one of the most famous poems in the Bengali language , one written by Kazi Nazrul Islam in December, 1921. Published in several periodicals, the poem was first collected in 1922 in a volume titled Agnibena: the first anthology of Nazrul’s poems. This poetry explored the philosophy of Islam and Hinduism.

Background
In this poem, there has elements of romanticism, heroism, and love. Through this poem the poet celebrated human creative powers, asserted his affirmation of the individual human capacity for heroic action and human unity and solemnly called for rebellion against all forms of oppression (including that of the British in India) elevated him to the status of a national figure. The poem explore themes such as love, freedom, and revolution; he opposed all bigotry, including religious and gender. This poetry retains long-standing notions of men and women in binary opposition to one another and does not affirm gender similarities and flexibility in the social structure:

Ami bidrohi, I the rebel warrior
I have risen alone with my head held high
I will only rest when the cries of the oppressed
No longer reach the sky
When the sound of the sword of the oppressor
No longer rings in battle, hear my war cry

I'm here to teach you a lesson
I'm here to torture your soul
I'm the itch in your side that's got out of control
'Gonna prey on your conscience

You'll be praying for forgiveness
Seen all the evidence, no longer need a witness
So take my word man, here's my sentence
One hundred thousand years of repentance

Check my anger, it's real, ain't no token
I'll be satisfied only when your back's been broken
It's my burning ambition to burn down your empire
Man, I'll be building you a funeral pyre

The fire in my eyes, if looks coulda kill
I won't be satisfied until I've had my fill
Check my anger, it's real, ain't no token
I'll be satisfied only when your back's been broken

Ami bidrohi, I the rebel warrior
I have risen alone with my head held high
I will only rest when the cries of the oppressed
No longer reach the sky
When the sound of the sword of the oppressor
No longer rings in battle, hear my war cry

Repetitive beats beating against your skull
I'll be striking you down to the sounds of the war drum
The doum, the doum of the dhol taking its toll
Null and void is what you've become

An underground army with my brothers and sisters
Hand to hand fighting, building up a resistance
Repetitive beats beating against your skull
Null and void is what you've become

Ami bidrohi, I the rebel warrior
I have risen alone with my head held high
I will only rest when the cries of the oppressed
No longer reach the sky
When the sound of the sword of the oppressor
No longer rings in battle, hear my war cry

I read the commitments, strange alliance
The siren and the flute in unison
'Cos it's a part of my mission to break down division
Mental compartments in political prisons

I'll be sowing the seeds of community
Accommodating every color, every need
So listen to my message and heed my warning
I'm telling you know how a new age is dawning

Ami bidrohi, I the rebel warrior
I have risen alone with my head held high
I will only rest when the cries of the oppressed
No longer reach the sky
When the sound of the sword of the oppressor
No longer rings in battle, hear my war cry

Ami bidrohi, ami bidrohi
Yes, the unity of the Hindu and the Muslim
Will end your tyranny
Ami bidrohi, ami bidrohi

I am a modern apprentice
I believe in the life-long learning
'ain't gonna take away this natural yearning
To know the truth
The truth about the lies you've been giving
It's not a state of affairs that that i'm prepared to live in
I will find out for myself
No i ain't gonna be your clone
Ain't gonna be working my fingers to the bone
To feed your mouths
When the poor around me are starving
And you the fat cats are sitting pretty and laughing
I will do it in spite of you
I'll educate myself
Then i'll empower others
So that we can make our own wealth
Yes i'll empower others
So that we can make our own wealth
