This is a very hot topic for a few people, christians and Muslims alike, I thought since this a huge debate amongst all believers that it should have thread of its own. In honour of you @Todd! I was going to created two threads, but I figured only one was enough. This is a free for all about the Apostle Paul whether you believe that he was a true Apostle of Jesus Christ or a false Apostle. His writings here can either be scrutinized and criticized until your hearts content, or defend the writings and books written by Paul. Have fun!

Anti-Pauline believers ignore that apostle Peter certainly accepted Paul's teachings.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Peter+3:15-16&version=KJV

There are no passages in Peter's books where he criticizes Paul for correcting him personally in public. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+2:11-21&version=KJV

Therefore an apostle who walked with Jesus for 3 years must have believed Paul's vision was genuine and as much an apostle as the other original 12 apostles. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts+9:1-20&version=KJV

Please stop. You don't even care about the subject nor believe either way. so stop throwing gas on every subject. Nobody needs nor wants you to start threads for others conversations. I mean, what gives and when will you reign it in a bit... Quit encouraging free for alls and gaslighting. Enough is enough.
What do you mean by gas lighting? I know the general definition, but why is Tanya gas lighting in your opinion?

A valid thread that deserves its own place.

It was not my intent to be baffllng, perplexing or incomprehensible but sometimes things just go right over our heads.

That said, I will retract my cryptic comment and back out.

Well, when you make an accusation as you did it is for one of two reasons. You want to harass the person you are directing the statement to or you have a legitimate reason for stating it. Since you did so publicly, and you have not been on this thread to contribute anything of value except this defamatory statement, I suggest you explain yourself.

With all due respect, you seem to have a very short memory of the past around here. You also seem to not comprehend what I am trying to convey and I simply do not want to explain the situation in the great detail I fear it might take. I guess you can report me or something if it is that bothersome to you. I hoped anyone would know me well enough to feel I had a legitimate reason but that too might be up for debate and this is not the time nor place for it. So, in hindsight, I wish I has said nothing at all. But I did, and you can let it go or ask more questions but I will be out of here and erase my comment in hopes that you let it go.

LOL, I think he was defending the topic and I had a feeling what your response would be. You cannot always play the mother role in a public forum. I will gladly appologize to her when she does to the numerous people she terrorized in the past See.... this is why I said let it go. I hope you see that by not letting this go that you help to perpetuate the situation. Now, I am doing the same simply by responding. Please. Do not tell others what to do for I certainly will give that same respect to you. I removed the comment and tried to remove myself and will do so again and then maybe come back and delete this comment for the greater good if acceptable. PS - I am letting it go no matter...this is something for PM but I would rather not there either.
Sometimes you have to give people another chance - within reason of course.

There are many textual variations in NT manuscripts, but it gives small different meanings and doesn't create major doctrinal differences.

I didn't make this thread for myself, I made it for Todd and few others who like to debate about Paul. I love Paul, he's my favourite Apostle. I just thought a home thread for all things Paul was needed. Its better than derailing other threads and going off topic.

Sorry, I assumed you Art and red were going to continue from the other thread, maybe start there? I'm sure someone will fire something up soon. It's always been a hot topic.

Paul had to defend his Jewishness. He had to really assert "nah, trust me- I'm really Jewish". Why would he even need to defend that?

I think he served the interests of the Romans that were oppressing the Jews and so I don't think he really had the Jews' interests att heart and that's why it came up.

The fact that he had to defend his connection to the people makes me think he wasn't really of the people. He was serving outside interests. He spoke very beautifully but the devil likes to appear as an angel of light.

That's my theory about Paul. I'm still investigating but right now that's what I'm thinking.

I trust the Quran and the OT more than than the New Testament..... at the time that the NT writings appeared, there were a lot of messianic Jewish nationalists that were threatening the Roman elites and I think the NT was created as a tool of psychological warfare.

That is my theory. I'm not 100% for sure, though. I'm still investigating but that's what I'm leaning towards.

My older homie that me and some otherscall OG Chi-Town- he says religion is a tool of controlling people and I believe it. The colonizers went all over the world then they showed uo at your door-step with some swords, some chains and some Bibles.

That being said, I still pray to Jesus regardless and I love Jesus. Jesus is powerful. I don't know if he actually existed or not but I know there's an effect when you invoke him.

Didn't his own disciples sell him out? And he knew his disciples would sell him out. Judas didn't even get paid that much.

So you're telling me this man showed up with a message for all humanity, knew his disciples would sell him out- yet chose to rely on those same disciples to transmit his message?

Why not just write it down himself? If I have a message for you, I'm not gonna tell someone else the gist of my message and then send someone else to transmit my message. I would inbox you and message you myself. I'm not gonna have someone else do it.

And then I have to rely on interpretations of interpretations of interpretations of translations of translations of copies of copies of copies of copies of copies of copies. Just how many middle-men does the product have to move through???????

Nah........ if I decide I shall not live on bread alone and I should live on milk and really really base my life around milk

then I don't want some milk that's gone through a million other people's hands. You can't even trust that genetically modified garbage at the grocery store.

If I'mma dedicate my life to milk- then I don't want to buy milk that's gone through a million people's hands. I want my own cows. I'm willing to pay. I'll get my own land, I'll have my own cows and I'll get it directly from the source. In everything in general- cut out the middle-men and get to the source.

If the kingdom of God is within me, if God is in my heart- then I don't need other people to interpret the will of God for me and tell me how to interpret what is written in my heart. I can read my own heart and interpret it for myself. I don't need other people's scriptures. My bible is in my heart and it is beyond words.

Then your "Jesus" is not the Jesus of the bible.
If you do not believe in the New Testament you cannot possibly believe in the Christian Jesus.

Do you think that any of our "misconceptions about wicca" can be traced to St. Paul's admonitions against witchcraft, divination, etc., and to Moses' commandments before that? If so, when you say that you "love" Paul, does that mean that you think his preaching should be obeyed, or do you just love him on some academic or other level?
