*yawn* Sanger sucked but pro life hypocrisy is unbearable, they don't give a damn about the kids once they are born and are always the first people screaming about "entitlements" and if you care about abortions than make BC OTC and support sex ed

You make a lot of assumptions, but I think the most offensive one is that the best thing for black babies is to kill them before they're born because black mothers are unable to adequately take care of their own.

Seeing as how I want the mother of my children to be black, I don't think that's what I meant at all.

When you accuse pro-life people of not giving a damn about black babies once they're born, you're perpetuating a false stereotype. There are plenty of white people who are pro-life, who adopt, care for, and otherwise support black kids born to women who would otherwise abort their children. When my wife and I wanted more children and it didn't look like we could have them, we talked about adoption without any racial preference.

But a good question might be, how is it the problem of the pro-life side if young girls choose to get pregnant out of wedlock? When did the responsibility for the results of their choices become anyone's but theirs?

Sex education and the availability of birth control have done nothing but increase the numbers of out-of-wedlock teen pregnancy, venereal disease, and abortion.

As of 1966, fertility rates among teenage girls in the United States had been declining steadily for about a decade. Rates of venereal disease had been declining as well: the rate of infection for gonorrhea declined every year from 1950 to 1959, and the rate of syphilis infection in 1960 was less than half of what it had been ten years earlier.[216] Unwilling to leave well-enough alone, however, the left demanded that sex education be added to public-school curricula nationwide, and that government-funded “family planning” (abortion) services be made more widely available.[217] The American School Board Journal stressed the urgency of combating “illegitimacy and venereal disease,” while the head of Planned Parenthood spoke of the need to reduce “the incidence of out-of-wedlock births and early marriage necessitated by pregnancy.”[218]
By 1968, almost half of all American schools—public and private, religious and secular—had instituted sex education programs for their students; these programs continued to spread widely throughout the American educational system in the 1970s.[219] “Family planning” clinics proliferated exponentially from the mid-Sixties to the mid-Seventies. In the late Sixties, federal expenditures for “family planning” and “population” legislation grew from $16 million annually to about $200 million; by 1978 the figure stood at $279 million. Whereas in 1969 fewer than 250,000 teenagers used the services provided by abortion clinics, by 1976 their number had risen to 1.2 million. By the early 1980s, almost two thirds of the funding received by “family planning” agencies came from the federal government.[220]
Did any of these measures have a beneficial effect on society? The numbers tell the story: Between 1970 and 1980, the pregnancy rate among 15- to 19-year-olds rose by more than 40 percent. Among unmarried girls aged 15 to 17, birth rates rose 29 percent between 1970 and 1984—even as the number of abortions more than doubled during the same period. According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, the percentage of unmarried teenage girls who were sexually active rose dramatically during these years. The rate of teenage gonorrhea in 1975 was three times higher than it had been in 1956.[221]
As noted earlier, today the illegitimacy rate among African Americans is nearly 70 percent, a figure far higher than had ever existed even in the days of Jim Crow segregation or, before that, slavery. The corresponding figures for Hispanics and whites are 46 percent and 26 percent, respectively. While considerably lower than the black rate, these numbers, too, are astronomical in comparison to the era before the left had foisted upon the United States its special insights vis a vis human sexuality.

So that's what birth control and sex education have gotten us. It used to be that getting pregnant when young and unmarried almost always meant one of two things -- you got married, and had the child, or you had the child and it was put up for adoption. But in the 1960's the left began to incentivize single mothers by creating the welfare system that we know today. The result was the destruction of the black family in America, and now black children are much more likely to be born to single mothers, if they are born at all, and for the left, the solution is not to strengthen the black community, but to increase the abortion of black babies.

Nice try, it was Nixon's war on drugs that hurt black families, and the FBIs destruction of the Black Panther Party

Planned parenthood has always targeted minorities. That particular cat has been out of the bag for a long time. Their history is public record, up to and including the sale of body parts-- unbeknownst to the mothers, of course.

That's not based on anything other than fantasy. Black sociologist Franklin Frazier was documenting the breakdown of the black family in Negro Family in the United States, which was his PhD thesis in 1932. In 1965, still years away from Nixon's war on drugs, the so-called Moynihan Report sounded the warning for the downward trend of family structure in the black community.

Black out-of-wedlock births had increased from 18 percent in 1950 to 23.6 percent in 1963. (The figure for whites was still just 3.07 percent). In central Harlem, 43 percent of births to non-white women were out of wedlock. In the inner city, Moynihan wrote, “the center of the tangle of pathology is the weakness of the family structure.”
In what became known as “Moynihan’s scissors,” he noted that illegitimate births had stopped tracking with the unemployment rate; instead, as unemployment fell, out-of-wedlock births continued to rise. Illegitimacy had developed a dynamic all its own.

interview with a witch
All these Eugenicists are the same - they seek to "cleanse" society of its ills (but whatever its "ills" may be, and how they seek to "cleanse" it, are of course on their terms and their terms alone.) Somehow they've deemed themselves agents over us all, and that simply via birthright (or perhaps selective schooling) they have a right to this agency.

Of course they like to justify their heinous visions with talks of "Darwinism" or "survival of the fittest" - but their views are myopic. Darwin described evolution as simply "descent with modification"...in other words, adaptability. Take a look at the world - what are some of the most well-adapted beings on our planet? Viruses come to mind...not too much complexity in terms of its structure...extremely mutagenic and thus, adaptable...replicable - they have survived billions of years... Yet we seem to think complexity marks the "height" of evolution?

There is no pinnacle to evolution. There is no top-dog, no winner, or ideal. What do these simpletons expect by tweaking humans' evolutionary genome via selective breeding? Traits they consider "ideal" to man? Sure...you might get those traits...eventually... But traits suited to survival? Traits that will lead to man's betterment?

No. We have all the stuff we need now to improve ourselves. It's all there, in us already. Of course we don't always follow it...we don't use the goodness in us because often it's difficult...challenging...a struggle...or even, dull. Yet such is life. Such is the give and take of nature, our world, our interaction with our environment.

The hubris of these eugenicists is great...and somehow they feel they are wise - that they will direct our nature, our very humanity, and bend and twist it to according to their will. But humans are not alone in this equation - Darwin has shown us that. And in the famous words of Dr. Ian Malcolm "...life uh, finds a way..."

Which guys? People who burn feminists?
It's a joke.

If you really think MEMRI is more than a souce of funny memes and a reliable source, you are deluded.

"Burning feminists". Are you really that gullible? Can you name any instances of this feminist-burning that you assert is an actuality and not merely yet another funny MEMRI meme from the comedians at MEMRI?

And most of them are free and over the counter specifically of organizations like Planned Parenthood.

But I think you missed. It's not that some folks aren't upset that PP targets minorities... It's more the contradiction that a lot of the pro-life movement, having made some pretty awful alliances with conservative politicians are more pro-birth that pro-life. They work to strike down Planned Parenthood, which is fine... But when you're also quick to strike down attempts at better welfare programs, better maternity leave, and the like... Well, it's fairly easy for people to think you're being contradictory.
