Well!
I couldn’t have been more excited when I got my invitation from VC to this years meetup in Is Real! I never had met an Is Really before, so I jumped at the chance and bought a ticket. This would be a good chance kill a bird with two stones: catch up with my fellow vigilant citizen forum friends AAAAAAND create a covid superspreader event in the holy city of Jerusalem.
Our first stop was at the wailing wall. I don’t know why these people are still crying over this. The Jerusalem witch trials ended in 1692.
Our dear forum administrator kindly rented a large bus for us. Our driver was Shlomo who told us he was from tel aviv. I told him i don’t watch Is really TV; I am american. Then he said we could drive out to the negev desert, but I am a glass half full kinda guy. @The Agrarian wanted to go to the theatre and see the three dancing Israelis, but @kerrichinchilla wasn’t having any of that. Finally, I told him to stop beating around the burning bush and get going because we were getting hungry.
We stopped at moist moishes bakery for a snack. I thought these people didn’t like ovens. Boy, are those people confusing. The baklava was good, though.
While we ate, Shlomo taught me a few words in hebrew. Shalom means hello. “ani whati ladber al ze am editor hedin achai shley” means, “I want to talk to my jewish lawyer about this”.
I told shlomo that we were conspiracy theory tourists, and we wanted to pass on the normal sites. We wanted to see the world zionist headquarters and the holocaust museum.
Zionist headquarters was a hoot! Ira Greenstein let me play with the youtube censorship control buttons and report a bunch of people to the ADL. I never thought I’d be so lucky enough as to delete a whole youtube channel myself! @Frank Badfinger was impressed with the anti-Semite search control software for use on social media. It sure picked up everything!
The old white house hotline to jared Kushner has been disconnected (they shut it down) and reconnected to just a few people: Anthony blinken, janet yellen, alejandro Mayorkas, avril haines, Ronald klain, merrick garland, eric lander, anne Neuberger, wendy Sherman, and david cohen. I took the opportunity to dial and call Rachel levine to congratulate her on the birth of her and @The Zone 's first child this past February, xiezone.
I become engrossed flipping through the Directory listing, all the way from Abrams, JJ, to Zuckerberg, Mark. There sure were a lot of names and boy, there were a lot of offices in the headquarters! There was one on diamonds, Hollywood, liberal media, communism, and pornography. We kept @Red Sky at Morning 's blindfold on during the tour of that division.
The holocost to get into the museum was 6 million sheckels, but I talked the guy down to 1.5. It could’ve been much lower, too.
When we were on the holocaust museum tour, @Karlysymon said she was having some stomach pain. She thought it was from the jewish cookies she ate, but it was just concentration cramps.
By the end of the tour, we were all gassed. We did stop at the gift shop, as all of us wanted a few souvenirs and gifts to bring home.
@elsbet had a tastin` for ice cream. Cookies and crema one. @UnderAlienControl picked up a copy of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, but on CD:
Narrated by paul cohen and chaim witz.
@justjess played the jewish slot machine, but it just took her money and told her she owed it interest. @Maes17 was mesmerized by the whack-a-pal game.
I bought a copy of Anne franks diary. It came with a replica of the same yellow highlighter that anne frank used in the attic. It was 33% off on Palestinian Oppression for Dummies, so I grabbed that, too.
@lightseeker sifted through the clothes rack and picked out a “sucks NOT to be chosen” t-shirt. He can wear it at the next pick-up hockey game in the park. @Thunderian couldn’t go home without an “I Brake for Rachel Corrie” bumper sticker.
When our shopping was done, there was just enough time at the end of the day to spend an hour playing Ultimate Yamulkah in the park. A swell time was had by all. and just like that, another successful VC forum reunion to flatten the curve was in the books!
Photos of our big reunion? Of course I wouldn’t forget them! Let’s see what I have…
