Outside of the fact that I don't want to be part of UNESCO, it sucks that we removed ourselves to support Israel.

"Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., said the last straw was when UNESCO this summer designated the old city of Hebron in the West Bank, with its Tomb of the Patriarchs, a Palestinian World Heritage site."

A tomb of the patriarchs would be a christian Palestinian site. Good to know that we don't care about preserving christian history either. Nothing matter but Israel.

Isn't the UN doing the same to those who *wont* boycott Israel?

No, I don't think so. The only thing the UN has done (so far as I know) is to publish a list of companies doing business on occupied land. And, it is a false equivalency. The UN didn't get hit with a natural disaster like these people did. In this case, it's unscrupulous to link disaster relief and political compliance to another country together. These people need aid no matter what side of that issue they're on. And, if you have to force compliance on people to try to make them see things your way as Israel does, then obviously they are the ones who aren't doing enough of the right things in the first place. Calling for a boycott is a legitimate form of protest since like, forever...

UNESCO Embraces Human Rights Violators

UNESCO’s mission is to “further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms.” Yet, throughout UNESCO’s history, it has done many things as a direct mockery to this mission.

For example, in 2013, UNESCO honored Che Guevara by including “The Life and Works of Ernesto Che Guevara” in 2013’s additions to its Memory of the World Register, although Guevara was Cuban dictator Fidel Castro’s chief executioner, and both committed crimes against humanity. Honoring such a mass-murderer was an insult to Cubans who lost family members and are still suffering under the oppressive communist regime.

While UNESCO doesn’t hesitate to honor a Communist executioner, it hasn’t done much to honor victims of Communism oppression. The famous image of the “tank man,” a brave young Chinese man who stood in front of a row of tanks on their way to Tiananmen Square in 1989, is at risk of being erased from history forever after the owner of this image, Cobris Image, sold its content to a Chinese government affiliated firm, Visual China Group (VCG) in 2016.

Time magazine called the “tank man” photo “a symbol of resistance to unjust regimes everywhere.” In 2016, several organizations nominated the image of the “Tank Man” to be inscribed into UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register as part of the world’s documented heritage. Yet UNESCO, lacking moral courage, so far has remained silent on the topic.

Pretty sure the pro-Israel stuff is just anti-Mecca bias. Scientifically speaking, Israel is crooked.

No we don't. Muslims have the Dome Of The Rock. The Wailing Wall and etc. are already under Jewish control as they should be. You can thank the two Muslim families who are the guardians of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Im pretty sure they still do anyways.......

US expected to withdraw from UN Human Rights Council: report
http://thehill.com/policy/international/392418-us-expected-to-withdraw-from-un-human-rights-council-report?__twitter_impression=true

Haley has criticized the council over what she called a “chronic anti-Israel bias” and threatened last year to leave. “When the council passes more than 70 resolutions against Israel, a country with a strong human rights record, and just seven resolutions against Iran, a country with an abysmal human rights record, you know something is seriously wrong,” she wrote in an op-ed for The Washington Post last June.

And yet no mention of Saudi Arabia and head loss there. What a sellout. She's supposed to work for America, not shill for Israel. It's all she's done since she was appointed. The two most consistent phrases that are reported on in relation to her job are Nikki Haley and Israel. It's all we've heard about with her. So she in effect gets paid by the American taxpayer to work for Israel. Guess we know who lox and cream cheese's her bagels. Just like Hillary, ambitious to a fault and will do and say anything just to go higher. Politics is in a shameful state...

But you did.

Government corruption is not new-- in fact, there is a veritable clearinghouse, as it were, of information from which one can choose to post in 28 pt, boldface type. :)
