David Lynch's Twin Peaks premiered last night and parts 3 and 4 are available on their streaming and on demand services.

First I thought it was incredible, Lynch is my favorite director and I never doubted him with 100% creative control and a budget.

Now, I know it will offend the delicate sensibilities of a lot of you on here, but you guys will have a field day obsessing over the symbolism and there is a a lot (owls, the letters MK, black and white duality patterns etc etc).

But before you start calling Mr. Lynch a satanist keep this in mind,

I just saw it and thought it was amazing. I truly believe that Lynch is one of the good guys. He just has an interest in these dark, occultic things.

I noticed that the casino scene flashed up triple number 777 a few times (Crowley came to mind). There is a lot of emphasis in numbers this time round (the weird numbered portal machine in the other dimension, the drug-addict mother repeating 119 which I noticed on a police car, etc...).

Truly genius and always unexpected.

Yeah I forgot to mention the numbers, I'll need to look up some meanings for them when I get the time should be fun.

I'm blown away though still, I try not to always overthink it and just feel it but as a longtime fan of the man's work, this will be his crown jewel.

Last night was part 5, and Lynch is at the top of his craft, truly a privilege to be able to watch this.

Some notes, I'd be real worried about Shelley's daughter right about now, and Dr. Jacoby is a hero.

Oh man last night's was great, there was a scene with the little person that reminded me a lot of a scene from Mulholland drive, and it makes the body switching from Lost Highway as well.

Great to see Harry Dean Stanton last night 90 year old man. Incredible.

It's bittersweet to see Miguel Ferrer again too, I loved that guy as an actor.

Last night was a surrealist nightmare a fever dream of a mad scientist and the most unsettling thing I have ever seen on TV.
Nuclear explosions are always scary but to see it get the Lynch treatment was well there are no words.

Episode 9 was exhilarating and put forth a huge piece of information, that most people missed.

When the FBI and Diane are in the plane, see the emphasis on phones and electronic communication. When Gordon receives the call from the Colonel, notice what kind of phone he is using. Notice how Agent Preston mentioned that it was "patched through".
Now see Diane unable to get a signal on her cell phone.
The Phone rings for Agent Preston, notice the kind of phone she is using.

Anyway it was a great episode and believe me, next week Game of Thrones gets recorded. Lynch is the priority.

I didn't notice the kind of phones they were using until you pointed it out. The one Gordon holds looked like a gun for a moment (the cylinder). This phone has yellow/gold at the tip of the cylinder, same colour as Diane's. Put me in mind of the golden globule that you see in Episode 8.

Yes, and Lynch wanted us to notice that, I think, because he is the only person who has questioned 9/11 and wasn't savaged by the press or ridiculed into recanting, and it raises a lot of questions.
