This is hypocritical-- you condemn DR for selective nationalism, then condemn Artful for not accepting your own professed belief in something essentially the same, if not worse.
How am I hypocritical? Also I did
not condemn DR. I disagreed on something. I have no idea what a selective nationalist is.
Look I have no idea what white nationalists read. I'm aware of some of the websites but I have a lot of books and I don't think I own any that are about white nationalism. Actually, I'm sure I don't after thinking about it.
However, I read the Autobiography of Malcolm X. I have some of Ho Chi Minh's writings. I have a book of interviews with Chávez.
I mean.... a freedom fighter who fights for the liberation of his people.... that is not the same as a person who hates on Muslims.
I just noticed I have a copy of the Black Jacobins.
So when I'm talking about nationalism..... as far as the English speaking world is considered I'm talking about Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, for example.
A heroic Palestinian who fights for his people (without using wrong means) is a hero and an inspiration for the whole world.
The real heroes of the Old Testament are the Israelites- not the Egyptians. If white nationalists think they're the OT Israelites, they're in la la land. They're more like the OT Egyptians.
Moses (PBUH) is a Prophet in three of the major world religions.
Moses (PBUH) killed an Egyptian. Apparently, the Egyptians had problems too.
But it wasn't the Egyptians who produced Moses (PBUH). So yes, like billions of people I admire Moses (PBUH). There were people plotting against Moses (PBUH). I'm sure there were Egyptians who
hated him.
I'm for Moses (PBUH). I'm not for Pharoah.
A person cannot come out here with a Donald Trump hat. I would never harm anyone for simply wearing a Trump hat. I don't believe in that.
But if someone came where I live with a Trump hat...... they might leave in an ambulance.
Nationalism is as normal as air where I live. It's as normal as the air we breathe. In a sense, it's part of the air we breathe.
However, whatever that word means.... for other people...... what "nationalism" means here is very different....
WHEN I WAS A KID I USED TO SEE THE CONFEDERATE FLAG
ALL THE TIME....
but you come over here.... someone comes over here with that.... I'm peaceful... I won't have anything to do with it but..... it would not go well
I know the VCF crowd gets oh-so-shocked if I mention.... just some
facts....
you should have seen when Black Lives Matter was big.......
if you're a white nationalist..... you're free to your views tbh..... but white nationalism is another galaxy to me.....
The Israelites were nationalists and the Egyptians were nationalists.... but those were very different forms of nationalism. The kind of nationalism I admire is the nationalism of Ethiopia defeating Italy- not the nationalism of Italy invading Ethiopia.
The kind of nationalism I admire is not like the white nationalism where they were laughing and celebrating at Muslims being killed. I never saw ANYONE celebrate the "BLM kidnapping". Yet
everyone was on board with BLM. BLM was powerful and I myself saw it was a power.
People laughing at innocent Muslims being killed is not a story of heroic nationalism.... what I admire is stuff like this:
Hugo Chávez taking on Bush......
Chávez was absolutely right in what he said. I might disagree with other views he had- but Chávez was absolutely right to tell the world the truth about George Bush. Chávez wasn't lying. Bush really
was the devil.
