That is actually 100% false. Jews lived in Muslim society for centuries in peace, in fact, if you ask Jews, the most peaceful part of their millenia history was under Muslim rule. Jews had respect for Muslims as worshippers of the one God and not idolators, as opposed to Christians, who are idolators under Jewish law and are required to be killed.

So what happened with all those Jews living peacefully in Muslim society? It's true, there used to be thriving, ancient, Jewish communities throughout the Middle East, but within 20 years of 1948, almost a million Jews had fled the Muslim countries they were living in, and were taken in as refugees by the new nation of Israel.

What made all those Jews leave the peaceful cradle of Islamic love, to move to a patch of dirt in Palestine that had literally been under attack from all sides since the day after it was created? Why would Jews leave their comfortable, low-stress lives among the peace-loving Arabs, if they had it so good?

@Thunderian (btw.. are you the god of weather ? haha) Are you really that daft that you dont know? For God's sake, even Israel media outlets have reported it. Zionists shipped Arab Jews over to Israel, but since they weren't ' enlightened European Jews ' they had to program them. Dirty Arab Jews. To stay and have a Jewish majority. They stole yemeni Jewish babies. They radiated their teens (google the ringworm children) they blew up their synagogues in Iraq. They blamed it all on Arabs when it was them, just like the terrorist bombing of the King David Hotel. Do they pay you to be a hasbarabot? If not they should. Newsflash: Jews arent just European. There are Arab Jews who were living in peace with their neighbors before zionism. And what did Jesus teach? Love your neighbor as yourself. Like Moses taught. Fuck your sectarian bullshit man.

By the way, these are some of the rules that Jews and Christians were required to abide by to live at peace among Muslims.

• Prohibition against building new churches, places of worship, monasteries, monks or a new cell.
• Prohibition against rebuilding destroyed churches, by day or night, in their own neighbourhoods or those situated in the quarters of the Muslims.
• Prohibition against hanging a cross on the Churches.
• Muslims should be allowed to enter Churches (for shelter) in any time, both in day and night.
• Obliging the call of prayer by a bell or a kind of Gong (Nakos) to be low in volume.
• Prohibition of Christians and Jews against raising their voices at prayer times.
• Christians were forbidden to show their religion in public, or to be seen with Christian books or symbols in public, on the roads or in the markets of the Muslims.
• Palm Sunday and Easter parades were banned.
• Obligation to show deference toward Muslims. If a Muslim wishes to sit, non-Muslim should be rise from his seats and let the Muslim sit.
• The appearance of the non-Muslims has to be different from those of the Muslims: Prohibition against wearing Qalansuwa (kind of dome that was used to wear by Bedouin), Bedouin turban (Amamh), Muslims shoes, and Sash to their waists. As to their heads, it was forbidden to comb the hair sidewise as the Muslim custom, and they were forced to cut the hair in the front of the head. Also non-Muslim shall not imitate the Arab-Muslim way of speech nor shall adopt the kunyas (Arabic byname, such as "abu Khattib").
• Obligation to identify non-Muslims as such by clipping the heads' forelocks and by always dressing in the same manner, wherever they go, with binding the zunar (a kind of belt) around the waists. Christians to wear blue belts or turbans, Jews to wear yellow belts or turbans, Zoroastrians to wear black belts or turbans, and Samaritans to wear red belts or turbans.
• Prohibition against riding animals in the Muslim custom, and prohibition against riding with a saddle.
• Prohibition against any possession of weapons.
• Non-Muslims must host a Muslim passerby for at least 3 days and feed him.
• Prohibition against non-Muslims to lead, govern or employ Muslims.
• The worship places of non-Muslims must be lower in elevation than the lowest mosque in town.
• The houses of non-Muslims must not be taller in elevation than the houses of Muslims.

Does it sound like Islam really bent over backwards to accommodate other faiths? So why do we keep hearing how wonderful Muslims were to Jews? Where would anyone get that idea from, given the list of restrictions Jews had to live with?

You're kind of all over the map, so see if you can focus for a second.

There were about a million Jews living in Muslim countries prior to 1948. By 1970, the entire population of Jews in the Middle East, outside of Israel, was about 100,000. You're saying that the European Jews tricked almost a million "stupid" Arab Jews to leave their cushy lives by doing bad things and pinning it on the Muslims?

You can't answer simple questions about history or defend anything you say. Good luck with going through life ignoring facts and without learning to use them in an argument.

It was literally because the israeli Irgun party started killing them in Muslim countries, blowing them up and threatening them, false flagging.

A lot of the time I can’t believe you’re a real person. I can’t believe someone could be so ignorant about this

So, while the Israelis were dealing with an Arab blockade, constant warfare, and a huge influx of refugees, they were also operating a secret terror ring that covered the entire Middle East? That's the premise? Do you have any reasonable evidence of this?

I get (and hear) it from Heinrich Graetz (p. 88-89), for one, that if things weren't always "wonderful," as you put it, they were in any case comparatively tolerable ...

"In spite of this fact [of having to pay jizya tax], the Jews felt themselves freer under the new rule of Islam than they did in the Christian lands. The restrictive laws of Omar [some of which were included in your above list] were not carried out even during Omar's lifetime, and though the fanatic Mussulmans [Muslims] scorned the Jews for their religion, they did not despise them as citizens, but showed great honor to worthy Jews. The first Mahometans [Muslims] treated the Jews as their equals; they respected them as friends and allies, and took an interest in them even as enemies. The Asiatic and Egyptian Jews consequently treated the Mahometans as their liberators from the yoke of the Christians. A mystical apocalypse makes a distinct reference to the joy experienced at the victory of Islam. Simeon bar Yochai, who was looked upon as a mystic, foretells the rise of Islam, and bewails the same in the prayer which runs as follows: "Have we not suffered enough through the dominion of the wicked Edom (the Roman-Christian dominion), that the dominion of Ishmael should now rise over us?" Metatoron [sic], one of the chief angels, answers him: "Fear not, son of man! God sets up the kingdom of Ishmael only in order that it may free you from the dominion of the wicked Edom. He raises up a prophet for them, he will conquer countries for them, and there will be great hatred between them and the sons of Esau [Christians)." Such were the sentiments of the Jews with regard to the conquests of the Mahometans."

They are more Catholic in the middle east-- Orthodox, as well, and iirc, Coptic.
Yep, that’s what I think too, but people keep saying there’s Christians there, calling them Christian martyrs and it’s annoying that the line is so blurred now that people think that those catholics etc are Christian when they aren’t.

You can start here, although I understand you are comically hard headed due to the influence of the Sayannim

For the record...
Karl Marx..New-York Daily Tribune, April 15 1854
https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1854/03/28.htm

To finish the picture, be it remembered that the fathers of the Latin Church, almost exclusively composed of Romans, Sardinians, Neapolitans, Spaniards and Austrians, are all of them jealous of the French protectorate, and would like to substitute that of Austria, Sardinia or Naples, the Kings of the two latter countries both assuming the title of King of Jerusalem; and that the sedentary population of Jerusalem numbers about 15,500 souls, of whom 4,000 are Mussulmans and 8,000 Jews. The Mussulmans, forming about a fourth part of the whole, and consisting of Turks, Arabs and Moors, are, of course, the masters in every respect, as they are in no way affected with the weakness of their Government at Constantinople. Nothing equals the misery and the sufferings of the Jews at Jerusalem, inhabiting the most filthy quarter of the town, called hareth-el-yahoud, the quarter of dirt, between the Zion and the Moriah, where their synagogues are situated – the constant objects of Mussulman oppression and intolerance, insulted by the Greeks, persecuted by the Latins, and living only upon the scanty alms transmitted by their European brethren. The Jews, however, are not natives, but from different and distant countries, and are only attracted to Jerusalem by the desire of inhabiting the Valley of Jehosaphat, and to die in the very places where the redemptor is to be expected.

“Attending their death,” says a French author, “they suffer and pray. Their regards turned to that mountain of Moriah, where once rose the temple of Solomon, and which they dare not approach, they shed tears on the misfortunes of Zion, and their dispersion over the world.”

To make these Jews more miserable, England and Prussia appointed, in 1840, an Anglican bishop at Jerusalem, whose avowed object is their conversion. He was dreadfully thrashed in 1845, and sneered at alike by Jews, Christians and Turks. He may, in fact, be stated to have been the first and only cause of a union between all the religions at Jerusalem.
