the days of a local book store and the like are done. the internet killed them off
I think it's a natural progression. One that society may not be prepared for. Internal combustion killed the steam engine, computers killed the type writer etc. I have a hard time justifying $20 more for the fridge water filter or $15 more for a vape kit, just to buy them locally.

Fairness is overrated per American corporations. In this article, we see that we will soon be targeted with different pricing based on spying. IOW, I may pay more or less than you do or vice versa.

We are already being scored much like China the only difference being it is said corporations instead of the state.
This made me think of something I saw where retailers have decided not to target millennials in ads because millennials have no money...lol! So, maybe if you’re a millennial you pay a nominal fee then?

I guess that’s what happens when you try to give a living wage for jobs that can’t afford it...which is what people had been saying all along.
Target CEO Brian Cornell's pay doubles in 2018, but it's really a fluke
https://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/2019/04/29/target-ceo-brian-cornells-pay-doubles-in-2018-but.html

"Cornell's total compensation of $8.4 million in 2017 made him one of Minnesota's most "overpaid" CEOs, according to Business Journal research that measures CEO pay and overall company performance."

Did you really think he would take a pay cut so people could have a “living wage”?

Idk, brick and mortar is still beneficial.
There’s just that thought of technology malfunction, etc.

The "retail apocalypse" is a lie. In many major cities, the larger retail stores are flagship stores. The companies that run them don't mind a bit of a loss.
