Let us be reminded that the third Chapter of the Qur'ān is known as The Family of 'Imrān.
The Family of 'Imrān is the Family of Amram, dad to Aaron,
Moses and Miriam their sister.
Numbers 26:59 And the name of Amram's wife [was] Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom [her mother] bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto
Amram Aaron and
Moses, and Miriam their sister.
And let us also be reminded that Mary, mother of Jesus, is descended from David, and the Line of David can trace its roots back to
BOTH Judah-Pharez
AND Levi (
Exod. 6:23;
Num. 1:7;
1 Chron. 2:4-15;
Matt. 1:1-17;
Luke 1:5,
1:36,
1:67-71).
Aaron, son of Amram, who was the first high-priest from the tribe of Levi, took a wife from the tribe of Judah-Pharez. Confirmation of the lineage of Mary, the mother of Jesus may likewise be found in the Koran/Quran (
Sura 3:35-37,
Sura 19:27-34,
Sura 66:12).
Sura 3:35-37
3:35. Behold! A woman (Hannah - Anne who was a member of the British Royal Family) of Amram (who was a Levite) said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service: so accept this of me: for Thou hearest and knowest all things."
3:36. When she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!"- and God knew best what she brought forth- "And in no way is the male like the female. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected."
3:37. Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: to the care of Zacharias was she assigned. Every time that he entered (her) chamber to see her, he found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From God: for God provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."
Sura 19:27-34
19:27. At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! Truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!
19:28. "O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"
19:29. But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the crib?"
19:30. He said: "I am indeed a servant of "I AM": He hath given me revelation and made me a Prophet;
19:31. "And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Compassion as long as I live;
19:32. "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
19:33. "So Peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!
19:34. Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
Sura 66:12. And
Mary the daughter of Amram, who guarded her chastity and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His revelations, and was one of the devout (servants).
(Sūratul Māidah : Verse 1) Believers! Honour your bonds! All grazing beasts of the flock are permitted to you except those which are recited to you hereinafter, but you are not allowed to hunt in the state of Ihram (a state of pilgrim sanctity). Indeed Allah decrees as He wills.
From The Law in the Old Covenant/Testament:-
Numbers 30:1-2
30:1 And Moses spoke unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This [is] the thing which the "I AM" hath commanded.
30:2
If a man vow a vow unto the "I AM", or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
And from the New Covenant/Testament:-
1 John 2:5
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
