Joe Biden has apparently been telling people about the time he got arrested in Soweto while trying to get onto Robben Island (nowhere near Soweto) to see Nelson Mandela in prison. There’s not any evidence this happened, the US ambassador who Biden says was also arrested says it never happened, and no one knew about it until Biden started talking about it recently.

It sounds like he’s done for sure, then, and it’s hard not to think that the DNC isn’t crapping themselves right now.

I am starting to think that a saviour candidate might be the play here, because there’s no way Bloomberg or Sanders are going to win enough votes to beat Trump.

He needs to distribute his wealth then and be the regular joe he’s talking about....give his homes to the homeless.
You have seriously got to be kidding me. Bernie has like 1 million in net real estate holdings. Do you understand what America would look like with a larger middle class in the year 2020? This is about where it would be. If we had a middle class, they should border on around 1 million in some form of investment. If you were pushing it, you would say that 1 million in net real estate holdings were upper middle class, which is still nowhere near the 1%'ers.

As it is there are countless articles about how it is not a profound thing to say you are a millionaire anymore. Being a millionaire is almost meaningless now when you consider inflation. 1 million in real estate holdings is nothing. He does not need to distribute nothing based on something like this, but no one needs to distribute anything for any reason. People should give because they want to and when they want to. When you have a million dollars in real estate holdings, you can afford to give for sure, but you are nowhere near the place where someone could accuse you of being expected to give to the extent that you are left with close to nothing. Keeping 1 million in real estate holdings is not some kind of extravagant feature.

In the early 1990's, when I was going to school, they used to tell us "if you get a bachelor's degree, you can get an average minimum of 70,000 a year." I think I posted in response to something you said that politicians are only at the high end of this average getting something like 180,000 a year.

If you really took inflation into account 30 years later, I would imagine it is reasonable to assume that an average wage for getting a bachelor's degree should be about 140,000 in the year 2020, which could still make something like 180,00 around the upper-middle class range. Personally, I like to give, so I give with a lot with less than this still. So obviously it is possible to give, but not giving does not indicate a nefarious predisposition because of something like this. You're just not going to solve the problem of hunger within America on a salary of 180,000 a year with three real estate holdings that you are still paying a mortgage on.

I still don't like centralized government, but that just means I have a problem with taxes and not whether or not someone like bernie sanders has three houses. Technically, he has two, because one of them is still owned by the bank. It is true that if people really had a problem with socialism, they would have a problem with the military budget and they usually don't and this is a shame.

That is why I always connected more with libertarians than conservatives because conservatives say they don't like communists because they really don't like some social issue that the people they call communists like. Liberals don't seem to like conservatives for the same reason in reverse.

The economy is really an important subject because more people are affected by the economy than the legal system, but people get all kinds of distracted when it is a presidential election year. They hear everything except what's important.

At this point, I would vote for Sanders just because I think they all suck so much, none of them should be allowed more than four years. I say let's get rid of trump and let's plan to get rid of Sanders next. Let's just get rid of all of them until we run out of them.

anyone making below 15 an hour would see their quality of life improve as he wants to raise it to $15 an hour... that's not tax code... if the economy is so great why can the GOP at least agree to raise it to 10? i think it is still $7.25!!!!! pretty sick...
A federal minimum wage is a ridiculous idea considering that the cost of living is so different depending on the state you live in. This is one huge reason a federal minimum wage is an absolutely awful idea. Sure 15 an hour or more should work well in New York or California especially when the cost of living is high, but the smaller midwestern areas where you can still buy nice 4 bedrooms homes for under 200,000. A 15 dollar mandate in these areas would have a much different economic effect than in other places. A centralized government is always a bad idea.

Ashkenazi Jews are called so because they emigrated to Europe (where the actual descendants of Ashkenaz emigrated ages before them), not because they are descendants of Ashkenaz.
So in your mind God must be wrong and you must be right?

Any evidence of your ridiculous assumptions?

One has to marvel at how anyone can resolve being governed with the belief that they are somehow free. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

How can people defend these parasites much less vote for them? Everyone who votes for any of these bankster-controlled puppet politicians is personally responsible for all of the evil they do.

There is no such thing as a left (democrat/liberal) and a right (republican/"conservative") except in people's minds!

Divide and conquer is the oldest satanic strategy there is, and we've been falling for it for the past 6000 years. When will people learn? Will they EVER?

According to our Creator, it's a capital offense to be an attorney or politician. We shouldn't be voting for them; we should be firing them all and abolishing their corporate government along with its corporate agencies, corporate banking institutions and corporate courts, etc. Peacefully, if possible.

Scum always rises to the top.

you still can’t buy a home in these cheaper places making less than 15/hr. You can’t even do it at $15. Plenty of houses where I live run from 80-150,000. I make around that $15 Mark. Even in a cheap place it’s not easy to get by on it and I can’t imagine how the people making the minimum wage here (7.25) function.

A full time paycheck at 7.25/hr after taxes (fica and state) is $260/week. The cheapest I’ve seen rent is $500/month - and for that what I’ve really seen is furnished rooms in rooming houses, not actual apartments or homes. Thats two weeks paychecks. They consider housing affordable when its 1/3 of your pay.

That leaves you with $540 to get food and everything else you need for the month. Thats $135/week. That’s insane. Even without a car hopping on the bus every day to get to work is $5/day round trip. Now your down to $110. Maybe this is doable for one person living in a rooming house. But it’s only doable with food stamps and Medicaid and I don’t believe the government should have to subsidize employers who refuse to pay fair wages with these programs.

It is not doable at all if you have even one child. Can’t stay at the rooming house with a kid, need to get an apartment. Getting an apartment even at the same price $500/month would be impossible because now you have utilty costs. Average $120/month for electric and gas - and that’s a very low estimate. Most of these landlords make you pay your own water. So without water your at $80/week. If you have to pay water your probably down to about $60, I’m assuming the average water bill in my area is between 80-100 but I’m not sure. I know it’s not super cheap because I asked around. Basic cell phone plan $50, basic internet $60 (those are the cheapest options out here) - that’s another $27.50 a week. Those aren’t luxuries, they are necessities so you can look for a job, communicate with your employer etc.We are at 32.50/week now. Do you see where I’m going?

I understand your position but the problem is many employers will do every and anything in their power not to pay people a fair wage when left to their own devices. So if we don’t have a minimum wage that reflects fairness idk how else we deal with that.

If you believe in any kind of redistribution of wealth then you are a socialist, which is kind of like a communist, and because everybody know that everything about communism is bad, anyone who supports any kind of redistribution is a bad person.

The richest 1% own most of this world's land and wealth through fraudulent, man-made legislation, rules, policies, codes, etc., while the remaining 99% live on the crumbs that fall from their table.

For example, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Battenburg, aka by her criminal aliases "Windsor" and "QE2", who has been pretending to be the British Monarch for the past 67 years, personally owns 1/6th of the planetary land mass whilst some of her "subjects" live in cardboard boxes and abject poverty.

Sadly, most have been conditioned to think in terms of the false dichotomies we've been fed by the parasitic criminal class, including their propaganda about capitalism, socialism and communism, which are all three man-made systems designed to transfer the wealth of nations and individuals into the hands of a select few, via their made up legislation, rules, etc. and their private, corporate banking institutions.

Everyone is so busy thinking about their slave wages, that they don't consider that all of this institutional indoctrination has "institutionalized" us into thinking only in terms of how to make our slavery bearable, instead of how to BREAK FREE of it.

"Employee" is just a modern-day word for slave.

"Democracy" is clearly a misnomer. When did 99% of us vote ourselves to be poor and the remaining 1% to be rich? It's so obvious one would think we would all eventually see it and say enough is enough. Democracy really comes from two words: demon and crazy. And that's exactly what we are to continue to believing that any of these parasites will ever help anyone except themselves.

Politics likewise comes from two words: poli - which means "many", and "tic(k)s" - which are blood-sucking parasites.

Elizabeth II is the ceremonial head of a number of countries which compose some quite large proportion of the planetary landmass. She is not the owner of their territory. I totally agree with you that there are huge problems with the distribution of wealth, however spouting paranoiac theories does nothing to help the situation, you'd do better to study economics and read some stuff like Naomi Klein.

Also you seem to have some very fanciful notions about etymology...

Elizabeth Battenburg is the richest woman on Earth and, according to Dr. John Coleman's exhaustive work CONSPIRATORS' HIERARCHY:
THE STORY OF THE COMMITTEE OF 300
,
she is the head of the New World Order.

There are no paranoid theories being personally shared, so shame on you for insinuating that. You would do well to study GREEN ECONOMICS and our Creator's Law, which is the ONLY Solution to this mess.

Politics: "late Middle English: from Old French politique ‘political’, via Latin from Greek politikos, from politēs ‘citizen’, from polis ‘city’."

Democracy: "late 16th century: from French démocratie, via late Latin from Greek dēmokratia, from dēmos ‘the people’ + -kratia ‘power, rule’."

Do you suppose the current economy has anything to do with him, or is it still coasting on Obama's genius handling of it?

I mean, I'm old enough to remember that electing Trump was going to mean stock market crashes and soup kitchens. Does he get credit for that not happening?
I suppose you could give Trump credit for not completely tanking the progress that a previous president made, like Bush II did... And I don't recall anyone seriously thinking a Trump presidency would lead to soup kitchens and market crashes. The economy was genuinely the one thing people would be alright.

Working class people seem to do ok where I live.
"Obama didn't improve the economy at all!"

Then you get showed proof.

"Working class people are alright where I live."

I'm actually a little disappointed. You had some beliefs that I disagreed with but you were at least consistant in them. But now you're moving those goal posts.

Thanks for regurgitating the propaganda definitions of those words for us just as our evil earthly rulers hoped you would do.

“The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it."

Ah yes, those dastardly etymologists must all be Illuminati... Come on man, academic knowledge isn't everything but sometimes it makes things clear.

As per forum rules, please keep religious discussions in the Religions forum.
The TRUTH about Democracy.

Winston Churchill said many years ago, that democracy is the least bad of all of the systems of government produced out of human experience.

Winston Churchill is also quoted as having once said: "Most people, sometime in their lives, stumble across truth. Most jump up, brush themselves off, and hurry on about their business as if nothing had happened." Just as a bell that has been rung cannot be "unrung", the annoying problem with the Truth is that, once you learn it, you can not "unlearn" it.
---------------------
Democracy, which has become the Cure-all Mantra, quoted incessantly by all western politicians, is a LIE and aconfidence-trick, that they and their puppet-masters are now trying to deceive the rest of the world with, and are using their economic and/or military-muscle and means to force other nations to adopt, so that their puppet-masters can use the politicians to help them to rip-off all the other nations too, just as they have done already to the vast majority of their own citizens.

It is very simple to see that democracy is a lie and a confidence-trick. All you have to do is analyse what it is supposed to be and then compare that definition to the reality.

Democracy is supposed to be the rule of the majority. Government of the majority of the people, for the majority of the people, by the majority of the people.

Let us now compare the smooth deceptive definition, to stark reality.

In the western world approximately 95% of the wealth is possessed by approximately 5% of the people. That means, using these same figures, that 95% of the people, the overwhelming majority, possess only 5% of the wealth.

The politicians would have us all believe that this is the will of the majority. That is the politician's idea of what they call democracy.

When did the 95% of people, the overwhelming majority, ever vote for the right for themselves to be poor and vote for the tiny 5% minority to possess their own (the poor people's) share of the nation's wealth, that the poor majority's ancestors have fought and died to protect?

The Ruler of the Universe has prohibited democracy because He knew that the rich would use it and other means to deceive and rip everyone else off; keep the majority down and poor; just as He wrote, via His Prophets in The Bible.

He gave the world, via Moses, the perfect system of government, under which there is no poverty; no poor people and consequently no need to resort to crime to survive.

He prohibited the writing of laws and economic policies by humans, in order to protect the majority from abuse, and oppression created under the home-made laws of the rich and powerful.

Deuteronomy 17:14-20
17:14 When thou art come unto the land which the "I AM" thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that [are] about me;
17:15 Thou shalt in any wise set [him] king over thee, whom the "I AM" thy God shall choose: [one] from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger (a Gentile) over thee, which [is] not thy brother.
17:16 But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt (slavery - employment under man-made laws), to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the "I AM" hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.
17:17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
17:18 And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this Law in a book out of [that which is] before the priests the Levites (The Torah):
17:19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the "I AM" his God, to keep all the words of this Law and these Statutes, to DO them:
17:20 That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn NOT aside from the Commandment (The Covenant), [to] the right hand (right-wing politics), or [to] the left (left-wing politics): to the end that he may prolong [his] days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.

Many people can see the Democracy (demon-crazy) Deception and refuse to vote, so the wily politicians made-up special rules to allow themselves to rule using only a majority of the votes, even when the number of people who vote is only a minority of the population. How can that possibly be conceived to be the rule of the majority? Of course it is not the rule of the majority; it is a confidence-trick.

Those who can see the deception, unfortunately do not know what to do about the confidence trick; because they do not study; understand and apply the teachings of The Bible, having been deceived yet again by the misinterpretations of the churches, who work with, and are part of, the political-system; and so just watch the puppets* dancing on their strings, not knowing how to cut those strings forever.

The Ruler of the Universe pre-warned you about all of this in The Bible and that you are not "a law unto yourselves" and that if you will not live by His Law, in prosperity and peace, then you will die by His Law, either, during Armageddon, or, shortly after, during "The Reaping".

Unfortunately the lunatics have taken-over and are running this asylum, but The Law is still The Law, even if you decide to break it and the penalty, in this case, as you have all been told repeatedly, is death. It is not quite too late yet, to return to The Covenant; prosperity and freedom from oppression in The Torah; the five Books given to Moses:- Genesis; Exodus; Leviticus; Numbers and Deuteronomy, which are the first five Books in The Bible.

* Losing Your Illusions.
A young child viewing a puppet show will sit happily entranced and fascinated by the animated, talking marionettes, believing that they are very much alive and real. One day, when the child is older, and sees the strings attached to the puppets for the very first time, the illusion is forever shattered. The child will always know that hidden hands control the lifeless puppets.

Most people living today have advanced into adulthood without ever having known of, or seen, the hidden handscontrolling their systems of money, taxation, public education and social reform. The nearly invisible strings attached to the marionettes are well concealed, and the marionettes themselves - politicians; religious leaders; heads of colleges, scientists, foundations and think-tanks; media moguls and other officials held in general-esteem by the people - act so lifelike as to blend perfectly with their audience.

For the young child, the puppet-theatre is a small box with curtains, and the strings - usually transparent nylon fishing-line - rise up to the hands of loving parents and friendly neighbours.

For the adult, the "Virtual Puppet-theatre" is the controlled space between their ears. The space within which their belief-system can be manipulated - held entranced and fascinated - by puppet-masters directing cleverly crafted plays, dramas and crises, the plots to which the audience is told will unfold to their general benefit and to the endings which have already been written.

Invisible strings called beliefs rise up to hidden hands holding global-wealth and power. As long as the illusion can be maintained, the audience can be held spellbound. For them, the show is their reality.

Until, one day - they see the strings.

How exactly do you think words come into being? Generally they come from other words through the cross-pollination of different languages influencing each-other. They don't come to exist fully formed in English based solely on English roots of words which happen to have vaguely similar sounds to them.

Actually, interestingly enough, European language words often have roots or similarities with Sanskrit. European languages are "Indo-European". Now this is genuinely interesting stuff...
