these people are not getting 'whisked away' to heaven
you have to take this in context of what Matt 24 & 25 are saying (there are no chapter breaks in the original writing, chapter breaks are added for expediency's sake)
Matt 24:15-28 is talking about the abomination of desolation &
great tribulation occurring.
then
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
[this is the 6th seal we are at. Compare with Rev 6:12-17 (the 6th seal) (imo, the great tribulation begins Dec 21, 2020, then 45 days later is this 'day of the Lord' that cuts short the 'great tribulation' (Matt 24:21-22) / start of the 7 trumpets/ day of the Lord)
30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man,
[Feb 11, 2021 cross formation star sign]
and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
'Angels' in verse 31 in Greek is 'messengers'. The dead in Christ are 'gathered' and resurrected - in heaven (the 'great multitude' in Revelation 7 that is 'coming out of the 'great tribulation'. The living Christians are 'gathered' and metaphorically resurrected (see Ezekiel 37:1-14) - gathered on earth by the messengers/ 2 witnesses (remember that the gospel of the kingdom of heaven will be preached (Matt 24:14). They didn't go anywhere. Let's keep reading
32 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,
39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. 42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 47 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. 48 But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know 51 and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
continuation from Matt 25 (note the red highlight of being awake in both verse above & below)
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps.
5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. 6 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
It literally states that the 'kingdom of heaven' that has begun at the 'day of the Lord' (the 'day that cut short the great tribulation) and that Jesus 'has been delayed'. (Matt 25:5) The wise virgins are the people who are 'taken', going back to your verse 40, 2 in the field, 1 taken etc.
The thing that probably seems strange here to people is that the 'day of the Lord' has begun (it cut short the 'great tribulation') but Jesus is not ruling the world! There is no 'whisked away' rapture - people have to put in the spiritual readiness (have oil) and then after Jesus is not 'delayed' anymore, then these wise virgins are taken into the kingdom of heaven (on earth). (this occurs at the 'come up here' of Revelation 11, after the 2 witnesses have testified for 1260 days / after the 2nd woe. As I have posited elsewhere, Feb 4, 2021 starts the 'day of the Lord', 5 months later (aka the 5th Trumpet's 5 months) would be July 2, 2021 (solar calendar July 4, 2021 breaking the covenant in the middle of the 70 '7's/ 245 years) add 1260 days to get to Dec 13, 2024, which starts the year of recompense, 5 months after this is the 77th solar anniversary of Israel add 7 months cleanup of Gog to finish out the year at Dec 13, 2025 start of Hanukah.)
the fact of the matter is, the great tribulation occurs, then the 'antichrist' rules:
Matt 24
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
see, it says that the great tribulation is cut short,
then false christs & prophets arise. These false christs & prophets are 'leading astray' the 'kingdom of heaven' (which Matt 25 just defined as the 10 virgins). the 5 foolish virgins comprise the whore of Babylon who rules the 7 headed beast with 10 horns. (Rev 17, 18)
Again, the people that you said were 'whisked away', were not whisked away, they were the 5 wise virgins who had to wait until 'Jesus was not delayed anymore' when He says to 'come up here' (see Matt 22's parable of the wedding feast
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+22&version=ESV this explains 'come up here' with being humble - the wise virgins are humble and have oil because of this. this is what is occurring at the end of the 2nd woe
But one last, more concise point:
39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. 42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Here Jesus is comparing himself to a thief. Where else does Jesus compare himself to a thief?
Matt 12
22Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw.
23And all the people were amazed, and said, “Can this be the Son of David?”
24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.”
25Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.
26And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
27And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
28But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29 Or how can someone enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.
30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
31Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
32And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
hopefully, you can see that Jesus is saying the exact same thing in Matt 24 as in Matt 12 above: He is the 'thief' that is 'plundering' the 'strong man's house'.
that word 'plunder' is the Greek word 'harpazo' which means ' to seize/ snatch away / plunder'.
It is this exact word that 'whisked away' rapture promoters use to 'show' allegedly that Jesus will magically 'whisk' them away: Jesus will 'harpazo' / snatch away 'only the real believers, if you don't really really really believe, then you won't get 'snatched away'.
But that word 'harpazo' is Jesus saying that he will 'seize' people - the messengers/ angels will gather people that have come out of Babylon.
