Last time I read a book on animals and the speed at which they run, I must have been between seven to nine years old and I was very much fascinated by all the speedy creatures' velocities.
The human athlete could attain 40 kilometres per hour.
The cheetah could attain, if memory serves, something like 113 kms/hr and the house cat too something similar to the human athlete's.
Let's do a Google search to refresh one's memory.
30 × 60 seconds = 1800 metres per minute for a cheetah
1800 ÷ 1000 metres = 1.8 kilometres per minute
1.8 × 60 minutes = 108 kms per hour for a cheetah
13 × 60 = 780 metres per minute (cat)
780 ÷ 1000 = 0.78 kms per minute
0.78 × 60 minutes = (4.2+0.48) × 10 = 46.8 kms/hr
Memory served well
Good mathematical brain although kinda slow maybe
Thank God for the calculator, just to be sure that no mistakes were made
