Say we were in a bookstore, in the religious section and you were asked to advice somebody what book to get and you wanted them to buy a copy of the Bible, what you say to them to convince them of how great the Bible is?

Remember, you have to sell it on it's validity over these other religious texts. You are also factoring in their potential salvation which you are very serious about. Go!

Links are not as valuable as a conversation conveying your reasons of favoring the compiled text of the Bible over other religious scriptures. I am both surprised and not surprised that you Christians don't want to attempt to answer this. Just remember that if you can't answer it, then you have even less reason to be judgmental of me (of which you've expressed extensively towards me already) for both not accepting it and taking an unfavorable opinion which is not in-line with your own.

Your potential story line is way too generalised.

Which specific subjects in the religion section was the person looking at when you first met them?
How quickly were they passing over the subjects? Which subjects were they hovering around?
What was their general appearance (revealing social class, cultural background, personal beliefs etc.)?
Were they alone or in a group?
Were they male, female, or non-binary?

And if it is really the truth and it is something you think very deeply and rationally about, aside from having a strong faith in said text, then it really shouldn't matter which situation you are speaking.

I saw a person once in a bookstore and she was looking very intently in the self help section and I had a thought that I should go bring her a Bible. So I went over and selected a Bible and brought it to her and said “This is what you’re looking for.” She just looked at me but didn’t put it back. I don’t know what she did after that.

It needs to be. You're not selling it to just me, just people in general. You also cannot sell it to them on threads, as stated above).
To not generalize it is to miss the point of the thread.
But your storyline has potential.
You have sufficient writing ability to write your own story to fill in the many gaps I mentioned.

Your response tells me that the Bible and Christianity is not the thing you consider important. Or maybe you misunderstand my question and think I'm asking about the person and not the Bible.
This itself indicates a clear motif of yourself as a Christian, in that your belief in the Bible is not even anything directly to do with the Bible itself or an inherent truth you uphold contained therein.

I am really bad at selling stuff, so here's what I gonna do, I am going to tell the person politely that the Bible is a great book, it is about history and a moral and spiritual guide for everyone on how people should live their life, and that he/she don't have to buy it in this bookstore because there are a lot of Bible apps which can be downloaded on his/her phone or can be browsed on the internet for free.

I will reiterate this post for a second time.

Just remember that you told me: "All your words are false. You are believing the lies of Satan being planted in your head. He is the accuser of Christians and you are being used like a pawn on a chessboard."

Do you take that back yet?
What was that typed in response to? https://vigilantcitizenforums.com/t...an-and-muslim-texts-compared.6196/post-232941

Consider those words of mine set as if they are in concrete until you repent of your malice and accept Jesus as your God, Lord and Saviour.

----
Like I was hinting above, I do not know exactly what I would say until I met the person and could evaluate all those things I mentioned.
I know that answer will not satisfy you. *shrugs shoulders"

Yes, I do stand by that.

until you repent of your malice and accept Jesus as your God, Lord and Saviour.
See, this is just wrong. You expect such expectations on me without being able to give me any form of reason to accept even the Bible itself over any other religious texts.
Aside from this, the whole point of this thread is for you to address Christianity vs other religions and why your position (which you seem 'serious' about) is more valid or reasonable than other religions.
When you're so assertive about your religion and how true you think it is, the very least thing you can do would be to defend it's legitimacy. It's more than fair.

For onlookers it could be for you a chance to gain new converts, you underestimate the value of a genuine conversation JoChris, this is why you mock and jab.

I know that answer will not satisfy you. *shrugs shoulders"
An honest and thoughtful answer.

Post three here in this very thread:
Links are not as valuable as a conversation
What Jo just said:
However for people who sincerely want links
See the problem here?

I gave my answer to your OP already.
This mysterious "answer" evades the thread. From now on, you have no justification for comments like this:
"All your words are false. You are believing the lies of Satan being planted in your head. He is the accuser of Christians and you are being used like a pawn on a chessboard."

If you want the answers to questions in this new entry you certainly have the ability to search for that information all by yourself
You know that I am not asking for resources about Christianity, if I wanted resources explaining what Christianity was then I would have specifically asked and titled the thread "Resources about The Bible, Christianity and introduction materials for people who haven't heard of Christianity". Or something of that manner, in which I would have made it clear that I was asking for links and a summary definition of what Christianity or various forms of, are.

However, very clearly that is not what this thread is and you refuse to discus the topic of this thread.

And a reminder to onlookers that this is very much what the thread is about:

Remember, you have to sell it on it's validity over these other religious texts. You are also factoring in their potential salvation which you are very serious about.
(from the OP)

Edit:
Idk, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned a bookstore but it does imply the idea that you have selected one book out of many. The point of the thread is two things:
1. The reasons for accepting the Bible, the reasons why you find it to be the most valid, true etc.
2. The fact of many other competing religious texts and religions - given the very common hostility (from Christians especially) towards other religions.

The point being that I want to understand your line of thinking, your reasoning, your logic for accepting the faith you have. This will provide further insight into Christianity from a personal and conversational level, as well as understanding the justification behind your hostility.

As you may have noticed from my posts, I do not lashout over religious differences, nor over (ideologically) perceived enmity. I do offer corrections and speak strongly when necessary though and speak with utmost sincerity. I certainly have nothing intrinsically against Christianity at all and in countless situations elsewhere I actually defend it. Maybe that will give you further insight into myself as a person.

Anyway, this thread would be great if some real discussion would genuinely commence here. Thank you and peace all. :)

Christians who have read your entries will certainly recognize you there.

Repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and all the Christians here will rejoice.
