I'm not sure if they're referring to the The Movement for a People's Party (which I personally have a few problems with) but yeah I hope for a coalition of younger left, conservative, and independents willing to meet on almost a purely economic platform.
In theory this would be a good thing. Century long propaganda financed by billionaires can no longer convince the people that "trickle down economics" and "free markets" are the answer. I would hope those on the right would understand this by now, but for too many of them you just say the magic S Word or C Word (Socialism, Communism) and they will just react emotionally like they have been programmed to do. Left wing economics is the only way.
In 2016 I personally liked what Jill Stein had to say. That spoke to me far more than anything I've heard coming from an American politician.
Dore and Chris Hedges liked Stein I believe, and Stein was even liked by the Russians, but I dont believe whatever party the likes of Jimmy Dore and co. are working for will end up being lead by a person like Stein, probably somebody more like Trump tbh. That's my problem with these guys.
The Colon accuses me of Duginism (even though I don't know enough about him yet) because I think there's potential in embracing the sentiment for far left economic policies with centrist/conservative cultural policy.
I've seen him accuse you of being a Naz/Bol. I don't know what is in your heart, but I can see how and why he would accuse you of such because you push the Duginist line of thinking, which is also the Russian way of thinking, which is what so called "leftists" like Jimmy Dore, Chris Hedges, and Caitlin Johnstone are pushing. That is that the biggest enemy is not Fascism but Neoliberalism, and I disagree with that full stop. Caitlin Johnstone even wrote an article that "the left should work with the alt right" and she was rightly called out as a fraud by actual leftists. Sorry Davidson, but the left has no common ground with Fascists. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend. Neoliberals will not purge leftists and throw us in concentration camps. Fascists will. Working with them is a fools errand, and that is what Russia is trying to convince the left to do.
Dugin is essentially doing what Hitler did , which is to use leftist economic rhetoric, to help build a "populist" movement which calls out Neoliberalism, and uses right wing culture war to consolidate a fascist base. Essentially they want to merge the "populist" left and right to "fight the establishment" But this movement itself is LEAD BY PARTS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT.
I dont know why you laugh at me calling "Left wing economics plus right wing culture" basically Nazism, because that is exactly how Nazism started, and that is essentially what Russia/Dugin and the "alt right" CNP/Paleocon/Fascist network in America is trying to do. That's why Jimmy Dore and Tulsi Gabbard have been boosting the white supremacist Tucker Carlson, is to create this Left/Right synthesis that will end up with nothing but FASCISM, where real leftists will be suppressed, purged, killed, or imprisoned.
You said you'd want "left wing economics with CENTRIST/CONSERVATIVE CULTURAL POLICY"
What exactly is that conservative cultural policy you'd want ?
Artful said the same thing. I wonder if your "conservative" cultural policy is the same as his.
