Of course China is going to take over Taiwan. Russia and China are best friends. Putin tested the water for China.

Taiwan blackout caused by malfunction at Kaohsiung power plant

Chinese warships spotted off Taiwan's Orchid Island for 3rd time in 4 days
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Chinese warships were spotted in waters off of Taiwan's Orchid Island for the third time in four days on Wednesday (March 2).
Three People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) warships were detected 50 nautical miles off the southeast coast of Orchid Island Wednesday evening, according to a military source who spoke to CNA. By 8 a.m. on Thursday (March 3), the ships were 80 nautical miles to the southeast of Orchid Island and were deemed to have entered the Bashi Channel.
The source stated that from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday (March 1), a Chinese missile frigate also appeared 50 nautical miles off Orchid Island and was headed south. Monday evening (Feb. 28), three PLAN warships appeared 35 nautical miles off the coast of Orchid Island, marking the closest the Chinese military vessels had come to the island over that four-day period.
The Navy stated that whenever military ships enter the waters surrounding Taiwan, the armed forces' joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems can monitor and assess the entire process.

Chinese netizens interpret blackout drill as preparation for war with Taiwan
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Chinese netizens have once again been hyping a possible outbreak of war with Taiwan after an emergency drill for a blackout took place in Fujian Province on Tuesday (Nov. 30).

The drill was staged to simulate a large-scale outage caused by a typhoon or “external damage,” according to a South China Morning Post report. The provincial government issued a level-two emergency response and practiced rescuing the grid due to outages on offshore islands as well as trialing responses to terrorist or cyber attacks.

Weibo soon blew up with frantic speculation over whether the blackouts were linked to an impending war with Taiwan. Fujian Province is the nearest Chinese province to Taiwan and lies just on the other side of the Taiwan Strait.

“We must stay alert to the possibility that our power facilities will be targeted amid Taiwan retaliations or U.S. intervention,” one netizen wrote in a serious tone.

Others joked the simulation was needed to prevent both “Taifengs,” playing upon the homophonic Mandarin words for “typhoons” and “crazy Taiwanese” (台瘋).

“Don’t be nervous… this is mainly for 'Taifengs!'” wrote one user.

By Wednesday night, one hashtag about the drill had generated upwards of 3 million views and at least 1,200 comments.

The news comes just one month after an order to stockpile food by Chinese authorities resulted in widespread rumors that war with Taiwan was imminent. In that instance, state media had to issue reports urging the public to calm down and not misinterpret the message.

Scenes of Chinese panic buying at the time were later shared on a video by YouTube channel China Uncensored.

The downside of this is exposing their plan to China and locations of safe areas/shelter.

Have to assume Chinas surveillance apparatus already has this info? Not even taking sides but objectively speaking... the Ukraine operation has exposed a lot of Russian military deficiencies. They looked like supermen with a tech advantage bombing on paper tiger "Islamic extremists" on behalf of beleaguered Syrian state forces. But Ukraine has a modern military, a populace ready/willing/able to fight and a lot of international backing. They are holding their own and that is a bad sign for Russia, could Taiwan present another setback for an alleged world superpower like China?

Good. I wish they'd hurry up and get the show started. I'm ready to watch some fireworks! Unleash a big nuke or some super laser weapon from space. I'm running out of time. And I couldn't give two rat's asses about Taiwan. Buncha freaks.th-3494906478.jpg
