An idea occurred to me yesterday as I was reading some of the perspectives shared on the nature and existence of God (or gods)…

Spiritual “Guess Who”



Some people like to keep an completely open mind on the whole question and may simply identify as “spiritual”, others may be theists without taking the step to indicate what sort of theism they mean, others have narrowed it down to one card.

The only rule of the game is to explain politely your thought process for choosing particular tiles to knock down, and for the avoidance of confusion stick to recognised religions in your list of “faces”.

“know thyself”

In Latin the phrase, "know thyself", is given as nosce te ipsum or temet nosce. The maxim, or aphorism, "know thyself" has had a variety of meanings attributed to it in literature, and over time, as in early ancient Greek the phrase meant "know thy measure".

Ironically, it was catching a glimpse of the true nature of my own heart that set my course in a different direction.
