There ?Can you refer me to what part in the Bible is the language of the heavens mentioned? When I read of people praying privately in the Bible from the Old to the New Testament not once is a heavenly language mentioned
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing."
1 Corinthians 13:1-2
I know it's to emphasis the importance of love but Paul clearly distinguish both gifts of prophecy and tongues and go as far as to add "and of angels". My understanding is he wouldn't have added that if it clearly is not possible at all and would just say "tongues of men".
Outside of the context of the Church it is also possible to pray in tongues. And if there is no interpreter, the speaker is simply “speaking into the air” and the only ones present who know what is being said are God and the speaker and that is not the point of speaking in tongues/languages
"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God."
Romans 8:26-27
Once again i'm not debating the proper use or misuse of the gift, I needed to know if it's existence is biblical and safe.
