Thank you for this. Not so sure about diamonds though. But of course everything that is able to reflect/distribute light/love has its value. Personally I will rather buy som high quality salt for this purpose (I have already).

Diamonds can be used as assets much like gold and silver thanks (cue sarcasm) to our friends of the GIA, de Beers group and the AWDC (all kosher btw)
Though, any gemstone like rubies, sapphires and emeralds will do
Diamonds have had intense marketing done to ensure their maintained status quo as a highly valuable precious stone and not a pretty common chunk of crystalized coal

I know lots of these are wikipedia pages, but they are highly useful and very well written

When trying to sell back diamonds to a goldsmith there seems to be very little enthusiasm on their part. Usually they only pay you for the metal value even though it's a diamond ring. I find this a little peculiar. Do they know something I dont?

Thanks for OP! I've been pondering about selling my house at ATH to prep for this Winter. Also, thinking about getting some Gold and Silver.

1. Local coin shop charge Spot price + 5%, should I just buy it that way or online?
2. How should I porportionate the purchase, 50/50?
3. Buying variety type/allsorted or all bars?

Thank you

The "original" meaning of inflation. From Oxford English dictionary 1925. It is basically the printing of paper/fiat without beeing backed by silver or gold. Just what you see happening today. The rise in prices is a byproduct of this. (pictures taken from maneco64)

Awareness regarding silver is spreading like wildfire. How long will it take for it to be "sold out"?
