This is cloaked in agenda. One one hand, shes a heavy rep for the no-cash-bail movement. And there is merit to that movements ethos, but it gets hijacked. Instead of addressing actual police corruption and systemic race/class/sex reforms... its seems to funtion mainly for letting out petty miscreants who then engage in a near free-for-all of public indecency and crime. We dont see this noble initiative actually serving the victims of a system gone mad, their situation continues to worsen... but drug/sex offenders and/or the crime they engage in to facilitate their lifestyles seems to have a free pass.
Same here, instead of completely decriminalizing any activity on a minors part and recognizing they are victims (ex. underage sex-trafficking victims are not criminals, they cant consent to sex with adults or "sex work". These are victims and the crimes are committed by the traffickers and "patrons") what we see is an attempt to portray the adult perpetrator a victim. The system aint being reformed to protect the child, its being reformed to protect the predator.
