Robots, AI, and Bears, Oh My!

Speaking of computerised AI (artificial intelligence), we shouldn't be too much in awe of it, because although it can be useful, it can be just downright dumb too.
For example, billions of dollars/roubles/pounds/yen have been poured into the development of heat-seeking anti-aircraft missiles over the past 60 years, but even now the most advanced missiles in the world haven't got the computerised "brainpower" to distinguish between an aircraft and a tuppeny-ha'penny flare, that's why jets pop flares like this (below) to decoy missiles away..:)

(PS- As regards radar-guided missiles, they can be easily fooled too, the pilot will pop 'chaff' (small bundles of tinfoil strips) to fool them)

I thought I would post it, but the robot is being held from behind, right? If not, isn't the system behind, like the big robots in the city of Nantes in France?:
