Roal Dahl - The Witches (2020)

This is gonna be pretty brief. I stumbled on this movie on Amazon, I remember the original and book by Roald Dahl and thought I'd check it out.

This film is nothing like the original and is has a lot of blatant occult undertones.

Firstly the reptilian reference, the mouth, snake symbolism, even flashes reptilian skin in one scene.

The film starts talking about witches abducting 'poor children', children that no one would really care for, (sounds familiar) They obviously substitute sacrifice with turning kids into animals. The use of the number 666 is frequent. The head witch is staying in room 666, the child is staying in room 766, there's a red van at the start of the movie where it says '66 86'



Anyone who's read the book or saw the original knows that it didn't have such a dark undertone to it, it was creepy as kid but it didn't have blatant satanic undertones?
