2016 was dubbed the 'Year of Populist movements' where the people made their voices heard against the Establishment. In regard to the 'Rising Right', Gene Fillmore's 2014 timely article A Warning on Nationalism, he wrote:
"Political extremists are now convenient tools of geopolitical influence,
regardless of what they they themselves might think........the politics of pride, once used to advance the interests of the state, will be used against it."

He furthers observes that if Radical Islam could be used to bring the Middle East to its knees, the likes of EDL (English Defense League) will certainly accomplish the same in Europe for the powers that be. His interview with a Russian ex-spook who sees the break-up of Russia in the cards, certainly was interesting. If that happens, NATO will breathe a sigh of relief and by getting Russia's target group 'high', they will give NATO what Napoleon and Hitler's military campaigns failed to deliver. It seems the elite are content with letting the crumbs (Trump, Brexit) fall from the table (as many analysts have noted) to silence the baying but bigger morsels will not be forthcoming. Which, i guess, explains why Seccessionist movements in Scotland, Basque Country and Catalonia (Spain), Venice (Italy), have been anything but successful. Although iam now very suprised by the events in Catalonia.

Strange is the lack of condemnation on the crack down, on people demanding for independence from the likes of Merkel. If this was happening outside of the EU, talk of 'stifling democracy/human rights' would have been rife.
TPTB/Brussels will only permit what works for them.
Serbian President Aleksandar
Vucic has accused the EU of hypocrisy and double-
standards following its denouncement of the
Catalonian referendum as illegal, while acknowledging the independence of the breakaway province of Kosovo.

Excellent observations, thanks for drawing our attention to them Karly.
They play others like fiddles. .....however, they can not control forever, The final outcome will not be in their favor. God willing.

That was Mr Fillmore's observation, not mine. :)
But in line with his thoughts, this is a head-scratcher and an eye-popper. (supposedly Nazi/anti-semitic AfD)

The deputy chairwoman and one of the public faces of Germany’s populist, euro-skeptic AfD party says that despite pejorative labels of “far right” her party is staunchly pro-Israel and looks to it as a role model.

And...

....For a number of alternative news outlets,
particularly Alex Jones’ Infowars, the presence of the four Trump Administration officials presented a unique ideological challenge given their previous incantations against Bilderberg as a hot-bed of intrigue by the elitist supporters of globalism, and their strong support of Trump, *whom they had exalted as the globalist giant-slayer*. The Infowars solution to this dilemma was to hold a poorly attended pro-Trump rally outside the Marriott. Jones didn't show up.
