Sultanate, seen as another Arab country that could soon announce diplomatic relations with Jewish state, says it hopes agreement will lead to peace and a Palestinian state
I haven’t read that it will be imposed on the Palestinians..it just sounded as if the UAE were tired of the whiny Palestinians..Serious question. Have the UAE and Bahrain accepted Israel as a "Jewish state" Or is that something that is only to be imposed on the Palestinians?
It seems that the US is the only strong ally and that’s only true depending on who’s president..obama couldn’t be said to be their strong ally yet Trump is.the UK and the US are strong allies of Israel, surely?
Israel also had land that God gave to them as an everlasting possession..means it’s theirs forever. And they are back on that land now after centuries wandering everywhere else not the world..quite a miracle actually.Israel in the Bible is a people, not a Rothschild created nation state.
I asked if they accepted Israel as a 'Jewish State' Or if that was something that is to be imposed on the Palestinians only? which your reply doesn't answer. If you don't know then just say so.They have obviously accepted Israel as it is, which is a modern state where all races have the same rights.
the short answer would be yes.Serious question: Do you know anything about Israel?
My answer is stupid? That’s your refutation?Your answer is stupid. Why don't you just keep your trap shut on these kinds of issues...
Maybe explain how you think a Jewish state is being imposed on Palestinians. Are you speaking of Palestinian Israelis, or Palestinians who don’t live in Israel?I asked if they accepted Israel as a 'Jewish State' Or if that was something that is to be imposed on the Palestinians only?
Wow! Are you telling me that you don't know that, according to bibi and co, Palestinians, as part of any peace agreement, must accept Israel as a 'Jewish State'?Maybe explain how you think a Jewish state is being imposed on Palestinians. Are you speaking of Palestinian Israelis, or Palestinians who don’t live in Israel?
Explain what you think that means, with links to something relevant that can confirm it.Are you telling me that you don't know that, according to bibi and co, Palestinians, as part of any peace agreement, must accept Israel as a 'Jewish State'?
Seriously? So above in post #31 you just about call me clueless and now what...are you just acting dumb or are you genuinely clueless?Explain what you think that means, with links to something relevant that can confirm it.
I just want to make sure we’re on the same page.
What I’m trying to determine is what YOU think is meant by “Jewish state”, and why you believe as you do.Seriously? So above in post #31 you just about call me clueless and now what...are you just acting dumb or are you genuinely clueless?
Re-read my initial question and the context in which i was asking.
Anyway here's a quote from 'ol blue rinse,
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday implored Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to accept the existence of Israel as a Jewish state, calling it a "basic demand" for achieving peace in the region. "
Did you read that last part, i'll repeat that part. ... "basic demand" for achieving peace in the region. "
Edit;where it says 'Monday' wasn't Monday just past it was a ways back and this accepting Israel as a 'Jewish State' has been a demand ever since Rabin was assassinated.
Ok so now i know you're acting dumb. Convos over! I asked a simple genuine question and instead of you simply saying nothing or replying that you don't know you've tried to be sleekit. What I’m trying to determine is what YOU think is meant by “Jewish state”, and why you believe as you do.
And this is how it always goes in these kinds of threads.
Some Jew-hating fool makes a statement or asks a question that they think is an ironclad gotcha against Zionism. In this case, @Stucky asked if the countries that have normalized relations with Israel have accepted it as a Jewish state, instead of it being imposed on them like it has on the Palestinians. As is always the case when you ask these Jew-haters a question about their statement, or attempt to engage them on what they actually mean by a statement they've made, it starts a stream of posts where they do everything but answer the question, and if you persist, they simply call you a stupid hasbara and say the conversation is over. It happens over and over and over again on this board.
Does @Stucky know what he's talking about? Who knows? He can't even answer the basic question of what is meant by "Jewish state". Stucky should know what he means when he says something, and should be able to explain it, not accuse me of pulling some sort of Zionist flim-flam.
Does a Jewish state mean that Israel is for Jews only? Hardly, since about 20% of Israeli citizens are non-Jews. Does it mean that non-Jews have less rights in Israel than Jews do? That's not the case, either. Non-Jewish citizens of Israel have the exact same rights as Jewish citizens. They vote, they serve in parliament, in the judiciary, and in the IDF (although non-Jews are excused from military service if they choose). In fact, as I pointed out, Arab citizens of Israel often have more rights in this "Jewish state" than they would in an Arab Muslim country. Maybe Stucky thinks that Israel is a Jewish state in the sense that Gaza is a Palestinian state, where all other races have been ethnically cleansed, there are no rights for anyone, and a person can be killed for simply having a relationship of any kind with a Jew. Is that what you mean, @Stucky? No one knows, because you don't seem to know yourself what you mean.
This is why I often call Jew-haters ignorant fools. It may be that they do know something about Israel, but you wouldn't know it by their posts. They are invariably full of false information, debunked and racist premises, and insults, but if you call them out on it, or even ask them to explain what they mean, all they can do is respond with ignorance and hatred.
