Sorry for this rant. But recently on the news a little girl called ellis hillon got kicked out of the show big brother for a "racist" tweet she wrote when she was 15 years old.

Ok so we all know racism is wrong and isnt acceptable. But online the adults who are sinking so low as to bully this 18 year old girl for something she done in the past is absolutely disgusting. Everyone has made mistakes and just because it wound up online that means its acceptable to threaten and expose and ruin someone's life? I thinks its somewhat hypocritical to get angry at someone because you disagree with them and then do something much worse than that person has done. I just wish people would take a look at the bigger picture.

problem 1: the definition of racism is blown wildly out of proportion so that its totally lost its meaning (same with "fascism").
problem 2: these online pitchfork SJW mob groups are out of control. they truly have nothing better to do than to virtue signal and one-up another about how more righteous they are for calling out a person. there is really not end until they start going after each other.

we might as well delve into the definition of racism for further clarification.

ADL says: It is hatred of a person or belief that a person is less than human because of skin color, language, or other factor.

american heritage dictionary:
1 The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
2 Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

oxford dictionary:
1. The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
2. Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

torch and pitchfork wielding neo-liberals will go after any or all of the above, but their attacks are limited to white people only (white privilege). others get a pass (louis farrakan, sarah jeong, etc.)

"racism" caught fire as an odious label, but its essentially inconsequential. prejudice and discrimination are more relevant and important with an emphasis on the latter.

there are plenty of definition-grade racists out there of all walks of life, and i dont see a problem with it. prejudging someone on their race is shallow, but if the person is open minded it makes little difference as the individual can easily prove his preconceived ideas wrong. again, that only works if the prejudiced person is open minded. discrimination based on race is flat out wrong, yet the far left do just that when hiring for race in lieu of merit these days.
