Pornography and its influx is where misogyny and capitalism intersect.
"To think that so many men hate women to the degree that they can get aroused by such vile images is quite profound," says Dines. "Pornography is the perfect propaganda piece for patriarchy. In nothing else is their hatred of us quite as clear."
Pornography isn't just harmful to the viewers it's exploitative and abusive.
The argument that it's just consensual sex between two adults just doesn't stand. Porn actors/actresses get treated like pieces of meat and many girls come from sex trafficking. You're not prudish, radical, or "anti-sex" if you're agst pornogrpahy, you're anti dehumanization.

The youth learn what sex is through the images of women being abused and brutalized. What was considered extreme a few years ago is now common place.

Something to consider from the article (!)
Gail Dines interviewed a number of men in prison who had committed r*pe against children. All were habitual users of child pornography. "What they said to me was they got bored with 'regular' porn and wanted something fresh. They were horrified at the idea of sex with a prepubescent child initially but within six months they had all raped a child."

The porn industry is just more controlled social conditioning. The fact that it is not regulated on the internet and widely available to anyone regardless of age, proves it serves a purpose. That purpose is to normalize debauchery, sodomy, incest, infidelity, p***philia and bestiality. It's also there to make men weak physically, mentally and spiritually. The ultimate goal is to destroy the family, destroy our God given unique male/female identity and blur the lines of sexual age appropriateness.

Which stands to reason that they eventually get bored with child porn and move onto something fresh and hardcore i.e murder porn.

"Videodrome is a dark Canadian movie about a sleazy CEO of a small cable TV station and his discovery of a broadcast signal featuring live torture and murder. As fascination turns into obsession, then into physical illness, the movie symbolically describes, in a very extreme and graphic way, the impact of mass media perversity on the human psyche, as well as the dark forces behind it."

The old myth use to be that the pornographic industries generated more money that all pro sports franchises combined. That wasnt even close to true even in the mid-late 90s when the porn industry could count on strong sales from Video/DVD, print and internet products...... Now its a losing proposition profit-wise. So then the question is asked.... if there isn't any real money to be made from such a problematic source, then why are new releases still being filmed and brought to market? If it almost a guaranteed huge loss to do so, why is the product still being made?

Its like the music industry, the income generated by sales (even in loss) are insignificant when compared with the amount of influence wielded over pop culture in general and the media in specific. A trade tptb are willing to live with for now.

I mean, you just have to look up the most popular porn categories to see the sort of damage it does to sexuality. Sad that it's already been so normalised to the point that someone who has never looked at porn before is automatically thought of to be either a liar, or a weirdo.

People who are agst comprehensive sex education should read this:
https://fightthenewdrug.org/massive-study-reveals-what-kids-are-watching-learning-from-online-porn/
https://fightthenewdrug.org/why-11-12-year-olds-are-struggling-with-porn-more-than-ever-before/

While yall cling to your puritanical beliefs and keep pushing abstinence guess where your kids learn about sex? Through porn. Think about it.
"One of the most unsettling findings was that over half of the boys (53%) believed that the porn they had seen was realistic. They believed that what they saw in porn was an accurate depiction of sex and sexuality"

And sex education will fix this ? Perhaps basic knowledge about harmful effects would help, but I doubt those are included in sex education...

How did you connect our disgust at commercial pornography to mandatory sexual education in public schools?

Thanks for linking this website, I'm grateful there are groups combating porn. It's poison. That said, it's one thing for adults to destroy their minds and body but knowing that children are bombarded with explicit video/imagery is sickening. We have to raise awareness of this issue wherever possible.

I also think sex-ed (from public schools) isn't the full answer. Parents/adults have to speak candidly about the subject. Teenagers are not stupid. You have to talk about it honestly and explain why watching other people have sex is unnatural, evil, and self-destructive. The link you posted said it well:

"Hugh Martin, who runs the organization Man Enough, which provides counseling for males who are struggling with pornography, said parents and schools needed to be more frank in their discussions with young children about the risks of being exposed to pornographic material online.

'We can’t be coy or squeamish about this,' Martin said. 'I actually invite some adults to go and look at what’s out there so they know what they are talking about… If they’re embarrassed talking about it, it will make it a lot harder next time for the kid to talk with them.'”

It's like the 'lost leader' at a supermarket. The bargain price of a product gets you into the shop but once your in the shop you end up walking out with more than the original bargain. The same with Porn being so widely available, it begins slowly by eroding your conscience and starts from there... Eventually buying into the elites agenda.
One friend of mine said this, it used to be trickier to get a pornographic magazine say you had the urge after the shop had shut. Then the next morning in the cold light of day the magazine doesn't seem so appealing, but with the internet there is no cold light of day... sad times.
