remember Romans 1
the underlying theme actually connects to 3 levels/states of mind, which in islam correspond to

Islam, Hawa (passion/desire) and Jahilliya (ignorance/darkness).
in hinduism they're called the 3 gunas. Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. I do highly recommend you research on the 3 gunas because there's a lot more information on them.
You can see Paul also going through them eg from 'God' to passion into complete darkness. Yet again it's an example of a side of the NT that the common christian has no clue about except at face value (but im not trying to bash christianity in this post). Likewise each source of information allows us to guage the overall ideas better.

Paul, to his credit, went in depth explaining that the law wasnt designed to conceal sin but to make it's depths known. Eg it was not given to MAKE people pure.
likewise the state of islam was one attained by muslims after 10 yrs of living with Mohammad in mecca.
only after those 10 yrs, were they ready to receive Shariah law.

today, we're already in a deep state of hawa and jahilliya..
in this state, adopting islamic shariah only does more damage because of our inability to adhere to it without corrupting it. This is something the common muslim just doesnt seem to get when they advocate for islamic law in muslim countries. Not that im against it, it's just it has to be catered to a society.
For example Turkey is a secular coutnry, turkic and balkan muslims all drink alcohol in large numbers eg Raki is the eastern european muslim drink. Think it's vodka in central asia. Any talk of outlawing alcohol is met with fierce resistance.

in Madina, it became common for muslim men to show up to congregational prayer, drunk. However even before this, Mohammad chose milk over wine when he was offered a choice by Gabriel (ie righteous by faith).
When the Quran finally forbade alcohol, it was abandoned by muslims the same day. There were some exceptions, a few addicts, but the vast majority were capable of immediately adhering to the prohibition.

My take is this...
these laws werent designed to 'make people pure' but to prevent people falling back into the states of Passion and Ignorance.
Today, that's gone out the window and so the law is really only there as a reference point to measure against ourselves.

You can look at it like collectively we are all like one big damp house, that attracts mould.
mould grows at random..and likewise as it says in Romans 1, God gives people over to lust which eventually produces a homosexual society.
this can affect anyone. I've known deeply religious families who've suddenly ended up with an odd child..and we know about the gay ones because they're very camp, but not so much about the lesbians and the non-camp gay ones. A lot of it is hidden.

So really it's about accepting the fact that it exists and is really not one individual's fault. it isn't down to bad parenting or bad genes, it's down to the world as a whole being in a collective dark state.
Accepting it however shouldn't be the same as saying 'we should not allow gay imams and gay marraige'. that is some canadian shit.

God Himself refers to the unnatural perversion of homosexuality and sodomy as an abomination, which is why it's a capital offense under The Law. There's nothing "gay" (happy) about it. We've also been warned for thousands of years that those who engage in such abominable behaviour will find themselves in The Fire on the Last Day.

So IF you actually loved him, you would have encouraged him to repent of his sinful, evil behaviour, to save him (the real spiritual Being that was inside of the wretched, out-of-control human body) the penalty of The Fire, just as I am reminding YOU that same penalty awaits YOU should you choose to continue defending the commission of capital crimes.

In its entirety and in context, the verse you cited and its passage, so that people can hopefully understand the difference between forgiveness and tolerating evil (the latter of which you seem to be advocating):

Luke 23:33-35
23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do (they are insane). And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
23:35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided [him], saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the Chosen of God.

We will all be judged according to our works by Christ on Judgment Day (John 5:22, Rev. 20:12-15), whether they be good or evil.

Time to wake up and learn The Way home or face The Fire.
Could care less what your bronze age god "says".

Total nonsense.

The Law that our Creator gave us, found ONLY in the first five books of the Bible, namely Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, was given to us to protect us from evil and to set and keep us FREE.

Sin is defined as breaking The Law, which is a CRIMINAL ACT.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also The Law: for SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW.

Logically
, the only way to destroy sin/crime/evil is to read, study keep and enforce The Law, exactly as all of God's Prophets, Apostles/Messengers (including Muhammad, and God's Anointed One (Christ) have taught. It's impossible to truly love our neighbour while continuing to commit crimes/sins against them.

This is exactly why Christ teaches that He did NOT come to destroy The Law, which is eternal and kept by everyone in God's Kingdom, including God Himself. Where The Law is kept, there can be no evil/sin/crime.

What is deceitfully referred to as "Sharia law" is a man-made fabrication based in part on God's Law, with numerous omissions and additions, which are prohibited by God in His Law (Deut. 4:2, 12:32), under penalty of death. That's why the Koran (Quran) repeatedly commands everyone to read, carefully study and keep The Law in the Bible, which it was sent to confirm.

Of course Paul, one of God's Apostles/Messengers (to the Gentiles), taught exactly the same thing. Paul said that he was living by The Law (Rom. 7:25), that The Law/Commandments of God are holy, just and good (Rom. 7:12), that he was establishing The Law everywhere he went (Rom. 3:31) and that only those who DO The Law shall be justified (Rom. 2:13).

It is only through the striving for perfection/purity that we become what God always intended us to be. That's also the only way for each of us to show Christ that we are grateful for His Sacrifice for our PAST sins (Rom. 3:25), and that we genuinely repent of our sins/crimes by ceasing to commit such atrocities.

How much less could you care? Is English a second language for you please?
My mistake. I COULDN'T care less what your bronze age god thinks. Although...maybe I COULD care less...just not much. Why do you point to a book to show me what your morals are? What do you think your conscience is for? Looks like the last time you used it was when you got duped into thinking some ancient text has better morals than you. To me, that just seems absurd. I like to use quotes because they said what I feel better than I could say it. Buddha hated dogma.

"Don't get attached to what I say, don't get attached to any doctrine, to what I preach; don't get attached to my personality. These are all just fingers pointing to the moon. Forget me, don't start worshiping me; just look at the moon. And once you have looked at the moon, I don't matter at all." -- Buddha

The Book is referred to because of the Truthful, Life-Giving Message it contains, including the ONLY Criterion to determine right from wrong.

What do you think your conscience is for?
What people refer to as their "conscience" is, in reality, our Creator's Holy Spirit speaking to them, to guide them in the moment.

Looks like the last time you used it was when you got duped into thinking some ancient text has better morals than you.
That's your ego talking, to deflect attention away from its own ignorance.

To me, that just seems absurd.
Of course it does, because the human "self" (ego) sees everything upside down and backwards, believing that the truth is allegedly a lie and that lies are somehow the truth.

I like to use quotes because they said what I feel better than I could say it. Buddha hated dogma.
Agreed. Hopefully you'll find the following to be informative, since you like to quote The Messiah/Christ/Buddha, possibly without realizing the source is the very same Book of Life your ego attacks out of ignorance.

The Terms Buddha & Christ - Explained.

Buddha is NOT a name, it is a descriptive title and means "The Awakened; Anointed or Enlightened One", which is exactly the same meaning as the word "Messiah" has in Hebrew - "Christos" in Greek - "Christ" in English, which are also NOT names but are, like the word Buddha, descriptive titles, as is the word Jesus, which simply means Saviour.

Prince Sedata (who, on achieving enlightenment, became known as the Buddha) rejected his former life of luxury to seek enlightenment. He went first to the opposite extreme and became an ascetic, which made him physically ill; then found The middle (straight and equal) Way of God (Deut. 30:15-16*), and thereby restored his body to health.

* Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
30:16 In that I command thee this day to love the "I AM" thy God, to walk in His Ways, and to keep His Commandments and His Statutes and His Judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the "I AM" thy God shall bless thee in the land where thou goest to possess it.

Deuteronomy 7:15 And the "I AM" will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all [them] that hate thee.

Sedata was then tempted by the five (seven really) deceptively innocent looking daughters of Marah/Lucifer/Iblis the lord of darkness:- Pride (Arrogance); Greed (Avarice); Fear (or Hate or Anger); Ignorance (of the real truth about your "Self") and Desire (Lust or Covetousness) (the other two are Sloth and Gluttony) - "The Seven Deadly Sins". The lord of darkness (Marah - Lucifer - Iblis - Satan) had sent them to tempt Sedata away from his search, but Sedata overcame* them.

* Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him ONLY shalt thou serve.
4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

"Darkness" had tried to tempt Sedata, in the cleverest of ways, by disguising the temptations of life in the simplest forms but Sedata was looking beyond form, beyond the present. Now "Darkness" was enraged, and sent an army of demons to try to attack Sedata, but he stayed calm and at peace with God and was defended by God because of his total (blind) Faith (The Shield - Ephesians 6:16; Genesis 15:1) and the consequent lack of fear that such Faith (Trust) gives.

His human body then said to him (his Being), "You who go where no-one else will dare. Will you be my god?"

Sedata said, "Architect. Finally I have met you. You will not rebuild your house (my human prison - my "Self") again."

His human body replied, deviously, "But I am your house and you live in me."

Sedata said to lord Darkness (Lucifer the Devil), "Oh lord of my own ego ("Self"), you are pure illusion (deceit and lies - the word devil means liar), you do not exist (you will no longer deceive my "Self" with your lies because my "Self" is crucified and it no longer exists). The earth (from which the human "Self" was created) is my witness."

The teaching of Buddha, not that of the Buddhist religion, in relation to the body and the soul (Being) and crucifixion of "Self" is identical to the teaching of Christ, not the teaching of the Christian religion.

Prince Sedata won the battle against an army of demons (in the "cave" or "cavern of the mind"*), just through "The Force" of His Love and the great compassion he had found. He achieved the great calm that follows detachment from emotions (which are all human and destructive of good and belong to the "Self"). He had reached beyond his "Self", he was beyond happiness or pain, separate from judgement, able to see beyond the human universe. Sedata had seen the ultimate reality of all things, he had understood that every movement in the Universe is an effect, provoked by a cause. He knew that there was no salvation without compassion for every other living thing; from that moment on Sedata was called "the Buddha" - "the Awakened or Enlightened One". JAH - The Enlightened One.

* Genesis 6:5 And "I AM" saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually.

-------

The difficulty is that your ego (darkness) has conned you (the spirit-Being/Soul) into believing that The Message from our Creator hasn't been delivered to every people on Earth, and that it is exactly the same message.

"My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me. If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or [whether] I speak of myself." -- Christ (Buddha) through the mouth of Jesus (John 7:16-17)

It's obvious this is too much of a gradient for you. And, that being said, we've obviously drawn out the ego in both of us. So, I apologize, you moron. Sorry! Sorry! Ego again! (see how this works?) An ego always rises up to confront another ego. I'm simply trying to create some unity; create common ground. This forum is a learning platform for me. I admit I'm not very good at it right now, but I'm trying... I even forget what the argument was. ...Oh, yeah, you sick gay hater! That's an ego talking. We each are on our own unique path. We go in different directions; different speeds. We have eternity to get there, so it really doesn't matter. I've found every gay person I've met to be wonderful loving human beings. I simply wish you could experience that. Shaming you is egotism & counter productive. Until I can be egoless like the masters we serve and respect, the best we can you is practice serving and respecting others. Again, I apologize. I hope we can just drop our differences and see what we have in common :)

There are reportedly upward of 7.7 billion people on this planet.

The truth is every single one of us has a different opinion of what is right and wrong and NONE of us are correct because those opinions are ALL ego driven.

A precious few (144,000) out of that 7.7 billion will learn to overcome their egos, unite under our Creator's Law, and thus survive The Fire (soon). Everyone else will burn.

This is shared with you and others to impress upon you the truth that we do not have an eternity to change our evil ways. We've all had approximately 6000 years and many human lifetimes to learn to be good (according to God) and most are more selfish and evil than ever before.

There is no ego in truth, regardless of what your ego may tell you to the contrary.

Peace be upon you.

I bet the link to support that information is, again, a ancient relic.

no offence to anyone...but you get lots of Pakistani men who are married with kids and also secretly gay...

i did read that in Pakistan the men there get bombarded with female hormones via water and meds and this turns them gay.

same is going on in the west today

What does Pakistanis have to do with Muslims? Is every American a Christian?

Its true that there is excessive estrogen in the water but this does not make one gay. Sexual preferences really has nothing to do with testosterone level.
