There are people on this board that seem to think it's okay if a man who feels like woman should be able to use the woman's only washrooms. If they're okay with that then they should be okay with these trans people participating in woman's only sport categories, right?LOL at Trisha Takanawa
This is so unfair, those women don't have a chance at winning in their categories if a man is competing. Trans people should have their own category, why have they accepted him into the women's group?
Caster Semanya received so much aggro as people questioned her gender, she's intersex I believe and naturally has higher levels of testosterone but she is still mostly female. Why did people judge her, yet are remaining silent at this circus?
This is political correctness gone mad, strip that man off the title, the commentator was right, he transitioned in adulthood so he not only has an overwhelmingly strong physique in comparison to these women, but he had bucket loads of testosterone in comparison to the hormone treatment he's probably taking. How is this even an equally judged contest, when you have this massive man lifting weights like they're marshmallows on a stick?
Yeah why don't they?Trans people should have their own category
Those are two different circumstances... one doesn't matter and one does. There are people on this board that seem to think it's okay if a man who feels like woman should be able to use the woman's only washrooms. If they're okay with that then they should be okay with these trans people participating in woman's only sport categories, right?
Because they consider themselves a trans but a male or female.Yeah why don't they?
The idea behind them is the exact same though. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If they feel like a woman and they use the woman's washroom then logically speaking they can also participate in woman's events. Those are two different circumstances... one doesn't matter and one does.
I know but it defeats the purpose of having different categories for males and females. Maybe people should be classed by testosterone level or something.Because they consider themselves a trans but a male or female.
Well not really because using the bathroom has nothing to do with strength level. In a sport it's actually important for a fair fight. The idea behind them is the exact same though. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If they feel like a woman and they use the woman's washroom then logically speaking they can also participate in woman's events.
We have different washrooms for males and females, different change rooms, and etc.I know but it defeats the purpose of having different categories for males and females. Maybe people should be classed by testosterone level or something.
So just because this "woman" is strong she shouldn't be able to compete with other humans identifying with being women?Well not really because using the bathroom has nothing to do with strength level. In a sport it's actually important for a fair fight.
Yeah but that has nothing to do with sports requirements. We have different washrooms for males and females, different change rooms, and etc.
I don't know, just do it. It was a suggestion because a transgender (or intersex) person would have an advantage or disadvantage in fighting non transgender people so something should be done to make it an equal and fair fight between everyone. How would you class people by testosterone levels?
She should only be able to compete against an equal competitor. Or else it defeats the purpose of all the guidelines and classifications of who is allowed to fight each other. It's supposed to be an evenly matched fight but if one competitor is more capable than the other, it doesn't make sense to allow that in a professional sports competition. So just because this "woman" is strong she shouldn't be able to compete with other humans identifying with being women?
Men are typically bigger and have larger lung capacity and such... so they could have an advantage in certain sports if they were competing against women. Why do females not box with men (boxing has very little to do with strength but more with speed and technique which are not related to strength), why do females not swim against men, and or run against men?
Males and females have different washrooms because of their sex. Sports are segregated by sex as well so it has everything to do with sport requirements or does having a penis or vagina not matter in sports any more? Come on Mecca keep up.Yeah but that has nothing to do with sports requirements.
Simply another case of another SJW wanting to have their cake and eat it as well.I don't know, just do it. It was a suggestion because a transgender person would have an advantage or disadvantage in fighting non transgender people so something should be done to make it an equal and fair fight between everyone.
But women are equal to men or they not? Also, doesn't matter if men are bigger because in this case he's a she and a woman or are trying to discriminate against her?Men are typically bigger and have larger lung capacity and such... so they could have an advantage in certain sports if they were competing against women.
Sports are divided by sex to make a fair fight.Sports are segregated by sex
Yes women and men are equal, we are all human beings. But that has nothing to do with the fact that men can typically do physical tasks easier and that in a sports environment, men and women competing against each other would be an unfair fight. But women are equal to men or they not? Also, doesn't matter if men are bigger because in this case he's a she and a woman or are trying to discriminate against her?
Not all sports are about fighting. Weightlifting has nothing to do with fighting lol.Sports are divided by sex to make a fair fight.
An identifying woman using a woman's bathroom has no effect on anything.
I don't know what you're talking about. Also, doesn't matter if men are bigger because in this case he's a she and a woman or are trying to discriminate against her?
