Just so everyone knows whether its MS or any one of the FANGs or other tech companies they all surveil the populace and have been for years. Not one of them is better than the others. Maybe Apple keeps it more in house @Lisa but those devices all report back to their mothership too. The way I see it is there is no way to stop all of this unless we stop buying what they sell, stop using everything. The problem is that we can’t, we like technology and it has done a lot to change our culture..how we communicate with one another and how connected we all are now with the help of technology. Something happens in India, I know about it in real time in the US. People aren’t going to give that up because we are also being surveilled.
I agree it’s going to become very scary later but I don’t see any way to stop that.

This article posts a general overview. Its from a few months ago but Israel has already been applying this tech where it could to Palestinians and apparently, they have sufficiently developed it to the point of shopping their ID-rec-tech to other authoritarian regimes on the wold stage.

I can't speak too much to Linux but at this point, I wouldn't trust any software. I do know the creator of its early file system was sentenced to prison for killing his wife about 15 years ago.

My understanding of it is that he worked on the file systen for Linux and not Unix. It was named like ReiserFS or something like it. It is in the Wikipedia link I posted. Not sure what file system Linux uses now.

So somebody says something, and you believe it? Do you ever ask for proof? Do you ever ask for any kind of supporting evidence? If the answer is ‘yes’, what sort of proof or supporting evidence can you provide that Shalhoub-Kevorkian’s allegations aren’t just made up?

I looked into it, and found none, but maybe you have some reason to believe what she says that I don’t.
