Do you all ever try to see the perspective of others?

Recently, he talked about how he hated himself due to his sexuality. So this whole song and video seem to be a form of lashing out against the hate he has experienced. Of course, there are deeper issues at play here, but let's keep it simple for today. He's only 21 years old. I mean, he's practically a baby like I was at 21. I mean, wtf people? Did any of you have all the answers when you were 21? All I'm saying is, cut the guy some slack and let him grow and learn. There's clearly a lack of true love in his life, and that hurts my heart.

In conclusion, can't yall pray for him and call it a day? Like aren't you supposed to be the upright Christians? Just saying, you can't expect any other reaction to your shaming and damnation crusade.
21 years old.

Yes he is just 21 but the problem here is

1-There are people pushing him to do this

2-He influences many younger people

I don't think it's an excuse, when you're this famous it's not that easy to forget like you would do on an average teen. Also when you're that much famous you kinda grow up faster that the average 20's, he got initiated to these things and he made a choice.

I don't mind if you don't agree with me...you just seemed really upset that we didn't like the video. And you seem angry because we don't agree with Lil Nas X based off what we believe. I could be wrong but your post seemed (to me) emotionally charged, so I was saying if it really gets under your skin, maybe avoid posts where people speculate on the music biz and spirituality. You are very skeptical of these things but this is a forum where spirituality and shady music biz practices is the basis for most discussions.
If my post was emotionally charged it has nothing to do with this debate. My take was pretty logical actually. It attacks the black and white thinking fallacy. As well as the fallacy of preconceived notions.

Standing up for your beliefs and yourself is a good thing. But that doesn't only extend to you, it extends to Lil Nas X also.

"you act like you're so much better" - thats your interpretation, I'm just being honest with you. No it isn't a key trait of narcissism, people throw "narcissist" around a lot and its clear that they including yourself do not understand the condition or terminology.

"plus vampires always win" man it must be depressing being you, victim much?

Yes the music business is shady af and yes you have to sell out, you also have to be very aware of what you're selling out to as its all part of spiritual contract. This however wont fly on judgement day.
Um.. Ok. So when you said you wouldn't pray for him, that's not you sitting on a high horse? That makes perfect sense. And please explain to me the key traits of narcissism. Since you know so much.

I didn't say the vampires always win. You just put two fallacies into one. That's called quoting out of context, and a strawman fallacy. Plus it's like the most blatant combination I've ever seen. I can't go forward with you unless you dial some of that back.

Someone who is on the wrong way must hate it. Religion and God is not the right place for his reaction. But his childhood traumas, media, pornography and lgbt visibility and indoctrination that caused him to be gay. These are the reasons when you get rid of political correctness and pseudoscience.

A lgbt person can only be respected as a sick person and his/her rights supported in this perspective. This is also my way of accepting myself.
Your painting with a very broad brush here. But, in the sense of fairness, I'll give you that Lil Nas was deploying the warheads with this one. So it's a bit of an overshot. In any case, people don't go nuclear for fun, or because of their past trauma. They go nuclear because other people have pissed them off that much.

I think you should ask yourself, does God want his followers to piss people off? I feel a little embarrassed to even have to write this. I mean what are we even talking about? Treating people how you want to be treated isn't hard. If you were "sick" would you want people there pointing at you constantly, and telling you you're shit?

Constructive criticism is the flex everyone needs to master.

I think you know where all these symbols and narratives in the media came from. A stupid attention whore at the age of 21 didn't create this narrative. You know it, but here you are just having fun with us.
Lol yes, I'm having a blast. Maybe I'm an attention whore too, so I felt the need to represent.

Telling the truth should't make anyone angry.
Anger can also cause wisdom. Anger isn't an adequate excuse to forgive heresy. Heresy is something that shouldn't be spoiled. God wants evil to be condemned, not spoiled.
I don't fully agree with that. It's like, nobody is asking you to forgive anyone. Can't you live and let live? Why you think the Bible gives you free rein to condemn people I will never understand. God didn't give you that power, that's the power you crave. And it's inherently destructive.

If you empathize with a gay being an "angry satanist", you can also do this for those who mistreat gays. if he's protecting himself, they are protecting something.
Fair enough.

When I said this I meant I'm homosexual.
Thanks for clearing that up. I was a little confused.

How can you pray for someone who sold their soul? I'm gonna assume you think Paul and Jesus are narcissists too when they tell us not to even associate with these kind of people? Your problem isn't with me but with Him.

Key traits -

Always looking/wanting to be admired
High level of self importance
Lack of empathy
Arrogance
Manipulative
Superficial
Fantasists

"I didn't say vampires always win" ummm dude go read your previous comment and no you didn't get the analogy that I was making. Vampires have no souls, vampires feed off blood, sound familiar? -cough- adrenachrome -cough- selling ones soul -cough- vampire symbolism in pop culture -cough-

Should we only pray for people who are doing fine? Or should we pray for the people who need it? It seems like the people who sold their souls are the ones who need the prayers. Let me try to give you a different example. Suppose someone chooses to eat junk food every day. And they get cancer or diabetes or something. One could say they sold their soul to gluttony, so do you pray for them or not? I'm just trying to figure out where you really stand in your beliefs. Like are you consistent or are you just throwing stuff out there because it makes *you* feel better?

I know what Narcissism is BTW. You didn't need to list 3 things that mean the same thing I said. I also know what vampires are, but I'm afraid I have to disagree that they have no souls. If someone sells something, then they can get it back.

Your words to be exact.
Yes, it was a response to your comment. Maybe it's my fault you missed the point. Either way, the point is people projecting good character onto vampires isn't why they get away with the things they do. They get away with it because of apathy. Meaning people don't care enough to do anything about it.

Just saw the video. The devil in the video has totally ripped the look of the devil from A Dog's Will.

No one in this forum, especially practicing Christians, are going to cut Lil Nas X any slack for glorifying the dark side of the occult.

And excuse you, but one of my favorite recording artists, the late George Michael, was gay. But he never went anywhere close of going over the edge as what Lil Nas X is currently doing.

Is there a light side of the occult?

It's also revealing that a guy who cruised around for anonymous sex while heavily impaired by drugs wasn't too over the edge for you. So it sounds like you have your priorities in order. Video about satan = bad. Putting thousands of people at risk with reckless driving = fine.

Deadass. Like how? Their spirit is in overwheling danger. Look what happened to the niglet Micharl Jackson, he's dead. And I bet when he was still breathing, someone tried to pray for him but that dude went in his ways. Maybe turned God down, tried to save his soul. Poor guy is in hell

No use brodie
