A relative of mine (a 50 year old man) suddenly a few years ago decided that he is a woman now. Dresses up, has fake boobs, wears some kind of girdle thing, now uses makeup and does his hair to pretend his little Barbie game. He avoids me like the plague because I refuse to play his little game and I regularly denigrate and insult his "choice". He's an idiot. When his IRL spouse (when he was a "man", he was married to a biological female) passed away, his in-laws (off of whom he was sponging) promptly kicked his ass to the curb. He is the ULTIMATE loser and always has been.

So, with that little bit of background, I think I can say that at least for some of these clowns, they are just pretending a "mommy" role and scratching for what little acceptance they can find from the deluded masses.

For others, its a chance to be close to little kids for whatever perverted reason.

And for the vast majority, it is plain old mental illness.

There are, I'm sure, a VERY FEW who are legitimately acting a role (think Jack Benny in drag). You can count those on one hand. The rest are imposters of one sort of another or just plain loons.
